Friendly reminder that if you are a whiny bitch like me and think "PvP" is nonsense in this game, there are at least two servers that have violence disabled. Norrg and I both disallow killing in our respective universes.

You have access to at least two servers now with anti-griefing measures in place and violence completely disabled. I plan on adding a third with heavier modifications to address my own gripes with the game. It would be more constructive for you to contribute ideas and time to such efforts than complain.

Okay, think I've figured out how to disable murders (set deadly distance to 0 for knives and bows and arrows), shutting down the server to restart and give it a go.
Server.cpp has a line for deadly distance of all weapons, set it above 20 and no object ever implemented will harm players.

For anyone who runs a private server and wishes to disable griefing with ovens/trash pits. Just add to server's "transitions" folder and delete cache file. Then restart server.

I am considering making a heavily-modded server with private property.
This means lockable doors and specific keys.
I do not think this is what you mean, but it is a step towards such scenarios.

Am I the only one who can't log in on this server? I get a red "login failed" every time. temp login does not work either. Login works like normal on other servers...

I have disabled violence altogether on my server. You can still hunt animals.

I played for 360 yeras today on your server. I had a great time! Lots of fun and learned a lot.
I'm glad. It is an excellent place to get your bearings without being spoiled by an easy hunger bar, and allows for a productive life after 60 if you so choose.
I saw an incredible house south of the spawn, was that you guys?

There's a pretty good farmstead there, I stayed a while and practiced crafts.
I didn't survive until 70 though in either of my two lives since the food bar gets so small and you lose all warnings. Living to 120 would be quite the achievement, it seems more like "Live as long as you want." Another player there said that s/he just chooses to respawn once they get too old.
We will be tweaking the hunger bar decrement today, should make living into retirement more enjoyable.
EDIT: Hunger bars remain maximum until age 108, at which you are left with 10.

Hey,
With some help from Norgg, Chard, and Rosden I got a modded server running with an age cap of 120. It's a good place to learn crafting since you live so long, and I'm hoping that people will build villages here for us to map. Violence against other humans is disabled.

You have time to finish projects, perfect your farm, or train an apprentice. Please follow the tenets that our prophet Colin set down - only pick fruiting milkweed, only hunt family animals, and don't drain ponds. Returning tools and clothes is important. Preserving useful trees is imperative. We are a community, so respect other's homes and clean up after yourself in shared spaces.
Please PM me on discord with questions. You can join this server by navigating to your "settings" folder and changing "UseCustomServer" to "1", and changing "CustomServerAddress" to "www.dying.world".
There is a password enabled. If you can cite me the laws, and pledge that you will not be a dick, PM me on discord.
