What a good son you were to the village. So useful. You sure showed your mom. If she only knew.
Thumbs up friend. smile

Sorry that you didn't get to enjoy your life. Some people just have their own agenda to murder. Sigh

I hope next time you play you have a good experience.

#8 Re: Main Forum » Dark secret: the murder rate is 16% » 2018-06-06 01:10:25

Thank you Jason for being transparent about this and other negative and also positive things about the game.
I feel your game is mostly a positive experience and has sooo much potential. I recommend it but would warn
a potential player of potential murders signs.

For all you others...
Several of you are surprised lol
Why? Me and others have been telling you this already. But we would just get yelled at. Being mean to us.

Meaners. tongue

#9 Re: Main Forum » Jason's Murder Problem Thread » 2018-06-02 02:35:34

I agree with the those that think a murderer should have some sort of bad consequence for the action but also that medicine should be added to the game for the victim or villagers to administer.

#10 Re: Main Forum » Corn??? » 2018-06-01 04:15:05

When corn is ripe pick it and then take a sharp stone to shuck it.

Pour soil on the ground using a basket. Till the pile of soil.

There has been an update.

Though, if it makes you feel any better, you should ask Sammoh about the combat we're adding. It's very fun, and fair. To give a quick overview, though, we're making it possible to kill those who need to be killed while keeping innocents alive, and gladiator battles will be fantastic.

Medicine too right?

This thread is full of good advice.
I feel like I will be a better teacher next time I try this.

To Eve Turnipseed

Mama?

Mama are you there?
I'm your nameless boy. Uh I went to go get a bite to eat and then you were gone so...
Then I was waiting for you to come back. Um, I made a book bag and was hoping to show you. Maybe
you'd be proud of me. I stitched "Turnipseed" on it. Hmm... I'll just try to find home... I miss you.

I've gotten takers. Every place is different and full of a different mix of personalities.
Some say no. But then I ask again when I respawn in the new place and get a few nice children
to teach.

If they say no to YOU they are missing out. smile

I assume you mean carrot farming? 5 carrots produces enough calories for 2-4 people, when used for making mutton pies. You shouldn't eat carrots, unless they're in a pie..... You should teach something difficult to learn and that's significantly more useful like being a shepherd, miller, potter, or composter - which are all in-demand skills atm. Enough people know how to bake and smith, so don't bother unless asked.

We need more shepherds if want advanced civilisations. Carrot farming causes civilisation stagnation.

Yes....this is what was asked. Many children were wondering around saying they'd like to help on the farm one day
or something. But they were dying while standing in one spot under their mothers not knowing what to do. Their mothers
were not answering them and were more concerned with their station jobs once the child was 3.

So I taught what they asked and also what I think was good for them to know if they become an Eve. Eventually they asked to be taught about other things too.

We did not have sheep and it was not important at the time like milkweed, carrots, pies and smithing topics were in our particular desert town.
I hope they learn more advance lessons in time by someone else or me in another spawn.

Thank you.

Wait were you the woman with the kid named Cloud? Or was that another teacher lady?

That was another teacher lady.

I hope Cloud's mother was a good teacher.

Did she make all the kids want to grow up and be somebody productive?
Or was she the reason spit balls were invented? tongue

It felt good to be Ms. Teacher.

I was just in a decent size town and realized many of the children were wondering around dying next to food on the farm.  So I decided to become town teacher. I asked, "New? Want to learn how to contribute? Farming lessons starting soon. Smithing/Forging and hunting lessons too. Don't miss out this is your chance."  Five children started following me around as I gave out tips and showed them where to find seeds, how to plant, how to wait for carrots to become seeds, where to stand to conserve food meter, how to make home markers etc.

(Tip: Take my advice. This is where I messed up. Make sure the children have brought a snack with them to school...)

Saw the idea here by Portager.

I tried it and it worked out.

But I think it worked out because
1.) The new players were willing to listen and learn
2.) Other villagers respected the profession and didn't feel like I was unproductive
3.) The village was well off enough to spare me for a while so that I could teach all over the place
4.) When the town was in need of help I taught at my own station area - farming

Try it if you can. Its rewarding.

I was there when jonta killed us all. That wasn't the only knife in town, but we had so many people hovering

Edge of desert, not middle of desert is good hehe.

Sorry about that. I was Alexander. I married your great grandmother Pooja.

I kept two knives in my backpack that my gma gave me to keep safe. Never used them on people.
We were a happy town and productive though we were hungry a lot and mutton was running dry.
Before I died, I gave on the the Shepard and the other to my oldest daughter whom I trusted, Summer.

There were never any murders while I was there.

But I guess they got into the wrong hands after I died. sad

#21 Re: Main Forum » Why i leave civs » 2018-05-29 16:15:07

This is why I leave big civilizations. People like Jonta who manage to kill 11 or more people
and still live to old age...

http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=173135

Once a knife is made, even for a good reason (sheep for example), I keep my caution meter on high. The peace will soon be over.
Others have already mentioned it in their post too.

If I'm female I watch my back and keep an eye on what people are talking about. If I'm male, and I'm not the one guarding
the knives myself, I might decide run off into the woods and set up a camp that I hope an eve can use one day.
Even if some things have decayed by the time she finds it.
Go Eves! You can do it! smile

I like smaller civs and little starter-pack places are quaint.

This game is still full of good people doing good things. <3
