Well, I would think that after this update especially there's some necros in the game, don't you think?
Not even a powerful necromancer such as yourself can resurrect this game.
Finally an actual update and not just a spoonwood Necro.

How can one honestly believe that this would ever be the case for all families? Were the badlands not checked next to a variety of spring sites? Was it missed that badlands on a ley line 160 tiles in each direction can be small and possibly even non-existent? How could one reasonably expect that all families would get not one, not two, but *a few* iron mine locations along the ley line of their first homeland well site?
jasonrohrer wrote:This also reduces the "wander around searching" gameplay pattern.
How can one honestly believe that having to walk 120 tiles *absolute minimum*, and probably more likely a few hundred tiles, would reduce wandering around searching than just find a spring in a safe area, or a spring near a swamp, or a spring in a badlands? Additionally, if the Eve is brave enough to raise children while wandering around, it meant even more wandering around than before, since it's walking through the badlands, which can mean more back-traveling for food for less experienced Eves?
Can't you at least put a disclaimer when you necro.
Spoonwood is a pretty cool guy. Everyone says they hate him but can you imagine these forums without them.
The kitchen stuff would be great
Enough said.
Actually I'd argue it's a good thing in the long run because future generations will get a huge boost fulfilling the craving. Bananas especially since it's alot easier to obtain in mass.
I bet one of the people playing by themselves was you.
I forgive you.
Go and sin no more.
Sounds about right

Who is Woodspoon?
Woodspoon was your previous account. (:
hehe
Guilty as charged
That much to be honest, Started off suiciding a bunch to get a decent town. I ended up in randerson fam, As a kid I asked some people if they needed help. Came across some fellow trying to fire the newfoman, Noticed we had no tires but materials to make some. So I used up all the sulfur making tires and then went to trade with blacks.
I exchanged Bananas, Palm oil for Sulfur and Cactus Fruits. When I came back I started doing some minor trolling, Letting horses go free. I helped the lady get them back and took a last look around town. The newcoman had dried out but we had an engine.
The last thing I saw was the whole town begging the gate owner to open sesame.

I was just thinking how the truck is yet another cool end game item that just gets hoarded behind a fence gate. While enviably looking past the fence, I noticed how out of place it looks within the game.
We have these few relics of tech locked in a pen. Everyones like "On we don't wanna lose it" but it just sits there. It's fucking stupid.
Anyway point is we're still primitive enough to treat these things as holy relics. Nothing used regularly is nearly as advanced. In fact so much tech hasn't advanced since release.
Lmao. How did a status update thread by Jason turn into a multi page climate debate.
People wanna argue, Mods should've locked this thread by now tbh.

I think Jason has bigger issues than appeasing random people on the internet right now.
You know when you see an opportunity you just can't pass up. Ya'll probably secretly laughed.
My immediate reaction was "Jesus, what is wrong with you."
Timing is very important for good comedy. That comment just makes you sound like an insensitive jerk.
About time something interesting happened here anyway.

Expectations uniquely placed on a particular class of people create an inequality of expectation, in that such a class has more responsibilities (for that particular thing of which they get expected to do) than people not in that class.
Thus, "making whites useful" would just increase the amount of racism already present in game. It would increase the inequality of expectation placed on players, not on the basis of skill level, but on the basis of their race.
No, I don't agree with increasing the amount of racism in game. So, no, whites should not be made "useful", like they are some sort of tools.
Racism in the game should just end.
I suppose as a spoon, You can relate.
Is spoon ever a racist slur? Or are you just making a joke?
Making a joke, Spoon is a sort of a tool.
I think being able to have hybrid families would be better then the current "trade". Picture marrying a member of a black family and potentially popping out some Black kids.
I think if you tweaked it right, Regular trading would be more conistent but an interracial child could get more resources faster.
This would increase expectations on whites only, namely to serve as translators for other families.

One potentially controversial suggestion I have is to remove the translating properties of paper and radios. Paper is accessible to every race and using them to trade is a common practice.
I can't understand written Chinese anymore then spoken Chinese. It's still Chinese, Neither do I hear fluent english If I'm on the phone with them. You could take it a step further and remove language learning entirely so only the whites can trade effectively.
To be honest, Not too good. Not sure if any of them where 50 players but I've seen some hell holes. Before homelands multiple families could live in one city, Belltowns could have most of the server in them. Another time was when the game first came to steam, Non stop babies who where mostly new players.
My ideal setting would be lots of players but spread out into lots of towns. Though realistically there would just be tons of abandoned villages and a megacity of each race. I suppose leaders would more useful for such big cities.
I don't, I hated cities being murder holes and always having to make pads. Adding plague now would be pretty insensitive. I think some more mundane workplace accidents might be interesting. Perhaps from trying to use a tool without any tool slots could have a 50/50 chance of hurting yourself.
Jason doesn't check the Reddit, hell he hardly checks here. The best bet to get his attention is emails or posting on the github
If you really want him to take it seriously, You have to knock on his door.
I would like to attach an airplane on my bb
I'd rather use Babies as artillery in the eventual guns update.
