OMG, you made me want to make the game!
I was thinking maybe I'm wrong and come back, no updates, read the forum, thanks for your good words!

I will start this off by saying that I just discovered this game in April 2022. It is brilliant. I really love the game and I have never heard of or played anything quite like this. I have seen all these horrible posts and comments dragging Jason through the mud and it is just really sad to see. Jason, you have done something really brilliant in making this game. I can tell that you have had a rough go of it and I hope that you find the courage and motivation to continue developing this game. But if you don't then I just want to thank you for everything you have already done. I don't blame you for wanting to throw in the towel with this toxic of a community. But just know some of us appreciate it and I for one think you have done something really amazing with this game. I can't wait to see what you do with it. But even if you don't do anything from here on out, thank you, good luck, and keep on keeping on.

oh, give it some time
it's like writing a book that has 10 pages and the rest is random lorem ipsum
or more like klingon and you need a dictionary to translate but after a few more pages it doesn't make sense anymore but he hopes that you run out of patience by then and blame it on yourself

are you sure you like the game or you like what it could be, it's really two different things

because what i see is that people are excited about the premise and need like 50-100 hours until they get used to the wonky controls then 100 more to realize what is actually the order of progression and then it's just repeating itself and you either burn out or do the things for others with no point
Jason is dead set on some dumb things, like 'everything runs  out' so the core of the game is that everything goes to shit, gets ruined, and you should find some meaning it that. He was also dead set on not adding magic mechanics and keep it real, but then he changed that policy and added the worst updates ever.
He was also adding a bunch of things not to do, and players could accidentally ruin stuff for others. Even better he embraced the players who did those things intentionally, and made their job easier.
Do you actually think you are helping a civilization by doing things? actually everything has a cost and upkeep and all you do is getting closer to it, so in the grand scheme of things you probably make a bunch of mistakes and the ones who see the bigger picture won't complain until it keeps you busy, but there is an order of things to be done and if you not doing that, you just put a strain on the other players and you aren't actually useful. all these because the mechanics were changed so many times to artificially increase the difficulty that it makes no sense. Like the progression of the civilization isn't actually needed, you would be better of skipping most of the steps and just focus on a few things that are needed. A bunch of dead content that isn't fun isn't useful, isn't needed.  And a lot of restrictions because you need restrictions, which I don't disagree, but there should be ways to overcome them, but your reasons why you can't is the skin tone of the character you got or that others used up too much of the stuff already. So your existence in this universe isn't needed, and the actual gameplay is dead set if you actually want to progress, your intention, activity and work doesn't add things, it just might slow down the process of detriment.

he got a bunch of feedback and he doesn't decide based on logic, he decides based on his sentiments towards the person, this isn't a game, more like a social experiment and he needs a constant influx of new prisoners to torture, he doesn't care about the long term players.

Why there are no updates like... half year?
Is there any other game like this?

#6 Re: News » Update: More Fixes » 2021-06-01 14:32:28

Is it the last update?
When can I play creatively and I can play the game again?

#7 Re: Main Forum » Why I decide to quit this toxic game » 2021-06-01 14:24:15

Haven't played the game like years,
can't finish 3 pages of year discussion and I agree with you,
no wonder the game stop update for 6 months.
I'm feeling sad, the game just turned into a nightmare, before that it was not heaven either.

I knew something went wrong when the truck can be made in that way.
(back to the time when I occasionally visit the website to check for the updates)

you keep misfocusing the problem
The problem is not Bobo or his gang, not even murder

The problem is the heart of the game, the problem is Jason:
This game is not balanced, it must be balanced with:

- Individual killings, no stupid "innovative" gang mechanics
- "Non-fatal" solutions must be implemented, prisons, stuns, etc ...
- You must create an intuitive game for everyone (new game hub)
- You must create new objects to make life more comfortable (new objects that must eliminate repetitive and boring tasks)
- Diversity in cities (all cities are the same)
- New mechanics must be added to the engine to support the weather, natural disasters, diseases, etc ...

Griefers are in this game because they are bored, they don't want to do the same thing over and over again, they are tired of doing the same repetitive tasks without stopping

Jason prefers to fight Bobo as a child before solving the problem in his game.

OHOL is destined to die, and the person in charge is not Bobo, nor the murders

You can make an extremely fun game including murders and griefers (they generate stories)

I haven't played like, more than 6 months and I just found that the truck is there(plates into a fully functional truck head, is that right?) so I'm starting to wonder is the game still lives fine?

What we do is to memory the recipes, make something in our lives and help our family, I'm not saying we should PVP like insane but should the game have more operating techniques? Maybe we can throw stuff by aiming instead of clicking, such as aim and hit the fruit on the tree or something, what else can we do to really make the game have some techniques in it? Should we have harmless wrestling?

(And I found out that I bought the game twice the current price, it indicates something I think.

It's just quit the game while I pressed the button ( in the playback mode ) to log in, there is no difference between old and new files, they all crashed.
There is only one file in the playback folder, there should be nothing wrong but it did.

I'm so frustrating.
TT.

Interesting update it makes me think of a world that we are speaking in the same language but manifest it in different way, by us, to create the diversity with strong intention...
It's closer to the world that I would like to see different languages in the game by making different sounds with keys to make specific sound on keyboard...

I really liked the bell tower feature, but now bell towers are too dangerous to build, i dont like this update.

Things should not happen...especially with zoom out mod.

as far i understand OHOL, is that you are a small part of a whole community, this is the experience

though you will meet people in game that become in that short life span, one hour, few minutes, dear enough that you could cry for real when they die
the game is emotionally moving, not every life, many lives are not only meaningless but outright annoying with annoying people around you, but you still will live through lives which will become significant to you & where you will become significant to the others

i think meantime, it would skew the experience of the lives if you knew who you are playing with
skew in a positive & a negative way, you would settle for old friends & old enemies, without such a knowledge, everybody has another chance either to become constructive after a series of lives being obnoxious or to become a villain after a series of lives of a saint big_smile

that's the pure OHOL experience
if you twin, you miss out on that
to twin is a second rate OHOL gameplay imo big_smile

I see.

I found out that there is no much meaning to play, since I can hardly build any relationship after that life.
Should it be that kind of the game?

Anxious one hour passed.

Void.

Start over.

Maybe we can have something, such as  the "soul binding" system, people can easily use command to request/accept to make friend after that life.
They can see their friend online or not in the main page, send them message, play together.

I prefer to make friend in the game if it can.
As I observed that game make social usually last for much long time.
