I enjoyed my first several attempts at rebuilding civilization. After about 2 hours, I'd managed to *almost* get a fire going-- yes, the game is hard.
Several of my early spawns were as a baby. My first mother immediately walked away from me, with no comment, and I unceremoniously starved. The world is a cruel, cruel place.
Surprisingly , though, my subsequent spawns were more succes... |

This game is fascinating. Captivating.
Every play-through I have a new story. Every time I forge new relationships with people. I get to see how people behave in different circumstances. Someone helps me. I help someone. I'm abandoned at birth. I teach someone how to farm. I live until old age and pass on the clothing it took me my entire life to make.

The most amazing game I've played this year. It's seems so deceptively simple, and yet its complexity lies not in the gameplay itself, but in communicating and working with other players to form a society, to teach each other and survive.
I heartily recommend this game. |
