I have played every indie and AAA game imaginable, and I can hands down say that none have touched me as much as this game. Every time you are born, a new story awates...sometimes you die as an infant, other times you struggle to survive at a remote camp, and if you are lucky you will find an in game family to love you and nurture you.

I wrote a review years ago. I don't recall what it said, and have no recollection how to locate it. I spent a lot of time playing OHOL and most lifetimes were enjoyable. There are some great people here and this game captures some truly heartfelt moments somehow. Victoria Falls remains my favorite civilization, despite the eventual slaughter. |
