#1 Re: Main Forum » Story of Eve's escape » 2019-11-28 12:43:58

Surprisingly I never struggled too much in this game, I mean I didn't starve to death from lack of berries etc.
I think this is because when I first joined I was a griefer, This forced me to learn to smith (to make knives) and to make clothes (To hold things).
Furthermore after yall called me a clown I tried to learn to start an eve family, which made me learn to farm and therefore learn to do everything by myself.
So I guess griefing was good for one thing xD, Probably more efficient to just learn by asking questions though.
But nowadays I'm kinda confused at how helpless some of these players are, really it's just confusing, have they never picked up a keyboard before?
Good story, reminded me of some things

#2 Re: Main Forum » Coming soon: way stones » 2019-11-23 07:06:14

IDEA
Instead of way stones, have City Finder stones, That point roughly (N S E W) to the nearest City stone (which would basically be a waystone) So instead of travelling for 10 hours, with no idea of where we are actually going, we can at least know a rough direction of our destination, it doesn't make things easy, but it makes it more plausible to find without a horse

#3 Re: Main Forum » Welcome to Snowdin! » 2019-11-22 11:04:11

Alright them xD
Again, thanks for the lovely build, I really hope Jason sees how fun it would be to have a really stupidly fleshed out early game, with different starts to the tech tree, that could still lead to the same final one, just would have different looks to villages.
Have a good one Fug

#4 Re: Main Forum » Welcome to Snowdin! » 2019-11-22 10:46:20

Lovely build, I applaud your efforts.
Sadly towns probs gonna die, as there's no way to keep a sufficient amount of water flow coming in, Only like a certain developer could add the ability to get fresh water from the ice cracks

#5 Re: Main Forum » Not very accessible for new players » 2019-11-22 09:25:11

"give a man a fish, he eats for a day; If you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime."
Same concept, give new players the carrots, we supply them for 1 life
teach a village to farm carrots, We supply them forever

No amount of killing and griefing will ever feel as good as being respected and trusted by the community. You're just a joke here. Is this really what you want? It might just be a game, but the community around it is full of really amazing funny people. You're missing all that because you are being such a clown. People can change, griefers can be reformed. You could too if you actually wanted to be a part of this community.

I'm just gonna focus on the "No amount of killing and griefing will ever feel as good as being respected and trusted by the community"
Even if Post Apoc magically changed RIGHT NOW, She will always be hated/disliked by most if not all of the community.
Even if most forgave her, there will always be people like you who will never forget, and always assume.

Whilst griefing isn't good, once you've done it, in most peoples eyes your automatically satan himself

Lmao someone doing oil or advanced water doesn't have time to make some kid a hoe
That's why we make large smithing areas, with 2 blocks between each forge/Newcomen as it gives us space to do multiple things at once.
If you get in the way of someone whos smithing, and they nicely ask you to leave the area so they can continue to create some advanced thing, and you continue to yell at them expect to get stabbed. Don't get in the way of a smith who is being productive

Bull shit
You are cursed by noobs for playing the game and stopping Arc griefers
I legit killed some kids doing Apoc at year 1000, got cursed out and couldn't play for an hour
Cursing system is stupid, people are not using them wisely and doing the good thing goes unrewarded

QQ, a griefer is crying about the system working.

I'm sure you were a real good boy who dindu nuffin. Probably shouldn't go around griefing when curses last a week as otherwise those random curses wouldn't have made any sort of difference but keep doing you man.

Dindu's gonna dindu.

I'm a griefer for stopping people from doing Apoc and 1000 years?
Clearly

#13 Re: Main Forum » Dealing with griefers » 2019-11-07 11:44:37

Cursing the first person to stab is a horrible idea, please use some brain cells.
If its year 1000 (Still young) and you spot someone doing Apoc then its reasonable to kill them.
If everyone curses the heroes of the village then the griefers will rein supreme

#14 Re: Main Forum » Another wacky food idea » 2019-11-06 10:26:28

I actually would really like this idea if it was changed to 1/2 way down the bar
still meaning you cant eat pies at full and berries when low

#15 Re: Main Forum » Idea to reduce food waste and make "big foods" more beneficial » 2019-11-06 10:23:01

How about the more stuffed you are the quicker your food bar depletes, meaning eating extra food is still wasteful past a point
However, to counteract this you gain 10% speed, as it resembles your metabolism getting faster to process the food.

It would obviously scale with how much over you was, Therefore eating a super big pie would still be useful for extra food supply and speed, but it wouldn't mean you didn't have to eat food at all.

You shouldn't be able to not eat food when running around, you should always need food.
On the contrary, people standing still should require less food, meaning AFK players could stay alive even when, well AFK

You fail to consider that the other family (The first) were hunting us down, considering I was the last fertile left if I didn't kill people to establish a new mont home we were gone, surprise surprise after I died arc reset very quickly.

#17 Re: Main Forum » As much as i hate to admit it » 2019-11-03 12:53:55

Ahh yes, killing people for your own family survival is griefing Especially when they are trying to stab me mhmm

Jasons idea that people would fight over resources actually worked, after all food water and oil ran out in a few towns we gathered like soldiers and tried to invade another town
This didn't work, BUT it was a good start, made for a very fun time.

Now please remove the rift, you got what you wanted

#20 Re: Main Forum » My Great (x3) Granddaughter killed me twice » 2019-11-01 10:44:10

Doesn't matter, if you're abandoned as a baby deal with it, don't go on a killing rampage to get them.
Ridiculous to kill someone for the act of removing an unwanted person, it kills their genes anyways...

#21 Re: Main Forum » My Great (x3) Granddaughter killed me twice » 2019-10-31 10:14:43

Imagine killing someone because they abandoned you
If they don't purposely drag you out of civilisation and then ditch you there's no reason to go for revenge
Leaving a child if your busy isn't a bad thing
Leaving a child if your travelling isn't a bad thing

#22 Re: Main Forum » If genetic fitness actually matters, is life limit still necessary? » 2019-10-31 09:42:18

Also so people take Genes seriously you should be able to be an eve with a gene score of lower than 40, meaning people have to be nice to start a lovely town.
Additionally, I think a bonus 30% speed could be up for grabs for high genes. Only getting a bonus if your Score is over 30 (1% per gene over 30)
Moreover really high gene players should be spottable with a halo over their head if they type /Praise
Meaning high gene players (Over 45) would be spottable if they wanted to show their niceness

#23 Re: Main Forum » If genetic fitness actually matters, is life limit still necessary? » 2019-10-31 09:35:34

How bout just segregating Genes into different categories
You start at 0 (as usual)
There are different categories for different ages.
For YOU
0-20, 21-35, 36-45, 46-60

If you live to 60 when your genes are at 0 you gain 4 points
If you live to 60 when your genes are 27 you gain 3 points
If you live to  20 when your genes are 55 you lose 4 points ect ect

For your child
0-3, 4-14, 15-25, 26-39 40+
Children bonus scores are halved, to make up for the easier point gainage, negatives are the same
It stops counting after 40.
Therefore if your child lives to 40 when you are at genes 0 you gain 2.5 points
if your child dies at age 5 when you are genes 55 you lose 3 points
If your child dies at age 30 when you are genes 0 you gain  4 points etc etc

If someone doesn't move, use an item or anything that signals they are at their screen for X amount of time, their score won't count against you.
if someone dies over  100 tiles away from you or your death point it shouldn't count.

That's my 2 cents on the genes

Tbf I think a crafting point system should be used instead of other players but

#25 Re: Main Forum » Is the new player notification working? » 2019-10-06 03:16:00

Id say <8 hours should be new player
It's long enough for you to learn basics like berry farming etc etc
And maybe only count the time of the lives after they live to 10
So you actually have to live to take the time down
Furthermore, why can't we just teach berry farming in the tutorial, its not too advanced and IMO would stop new players from getting stabbed for being new, as at least then they would be useful?
