Oh you must be a hell of a griefer if you can't even teleport wounds. I bet you also empty ponds so they won't refill.

Efficient pens*

You're more than welcome to waste your time making a bunch of useless wooden fences, no one is going to stop you from wasting branches for a cosmetic upgrade to the sheep pen. I'm not real sure why you think a pen made out of a bunch of corner pieces looks any better than a bunch of oven bases because it doesn't look much like an actual pen.

I read your end part the first time I posted I'm calling the whole goofiness of destroying pens for the sake of not liking how it looks in the first place. I don't go around destroying fence pens just because they're inefficient.

Go ahead and destroy adobe pens if you want it's not like they're hard to fix. The only people you're going to be hurting is the people in the town because ecks dee ugly pen.

You won't be so content with that setup when I convert all your sheep to free range.

Honestly, We need less useless updates like this one. You can make a few faces, who cares?

Time would be better spent actually adding new stuff and allowing civilization to advance. At least steam will bring some new players to the game.

Everyone knows <fences> are the meme pen. Adobe pens are the quick early pen. I have no idea where this mindset of "me no like me griff" when it comes to pen design. You're not the first person to have this mentality of busting open pens for the sole reason of they're easy to grief.

It's fine to replace adobe fences later in a civ but it's ludicrous to think people should ever be making/rushing a fence pen in the early game. Anyone with half a brain can bust a fence pen just as easy if not easier than a fence pen because you never have to leave to fetch water.

We've beat the argument of pen griefing to death, any and all fences are griefable if someone wants it griefed.

Your the braindead one, not adknowlading the last part of the post.

I can understand doing it early on but when your a big city and your still using ghetto pens.....

Anyway I hate them because they look bad. I will upgrade every Oven pen I see. Maybe I'll just destroy it if it's Tarr family.

I really don't get this mentality. You can't make a fence pen in the early part of the game so people like myself make the adobe pens so we can have sheep before gen 10 because muh branches.

East-West fence pieces are even easier to grief than adobe as you just take out the center and boom now we have sheep everywhere I've literally seen this happen in the town I eve'd earlier in the day.

Fences are just a vanity item just like they were when we used trash pits instead of adobe.

So yeah, if you want upgrade them to fences later instead of ruining someone else's work because muh fences.

Read the last part. I'm only going to replace your pens with fences later on. I can make use corner pieces instead for east-west fences.

Doing like that is actually more secure then your meme pens.

So I really do prefer the look of a fence pen over an oven base one or whatever. People say it's because Clay is easier to come by, I agree. Since straight branches usually get used up for tools instead and take  awhile to grow back.

How about making each tree have more branches. Then most places should have a surplus to build a pen with. That or lowering the cost of fences somehow.

If i see an oven base pen I'm going to grief them. Easy enough with a waterbucket, I'll make some new kilns or ovens somewhere else. Okay on second thought, I won't grief them. Just change them to fence.

+1

I've had lives most of my babies have been suiciders, The mothers are also annoyed that you keep getting born to them.

Another alternative solution I've seen is to stab suicide babies. Not only is it satisfying but also provides the baby with a lineage ban. If your suiciding and someone is chasing you with a knife, let them stab you.

to be fair you threatened her to cut her instead

If I wanted to kill her I could have easily. Funnily enough I was typing an apology when she stabbed me.

You guys were already old so it would have been a waste if I wanted to actually kill you. I obviously wasn't trying to kill her so it was just an excuse to kill someone.

I suspect she even hid the needles so I wouldn't be healed. Should've been baking pies instead of 10 breads without butter.

Furniture perhaps. Tables, Desks, Shelves for storage. Maybe let us craft on the tables too. Chairs for decoration and maybe a temporary food buff.

Dear Jason, crafting in this game is quite far away from reality. Examples:

1. Sticking a rabbit on skewer takes the same effort as digging a well. I understand engine does not allow to simulate difference action times, but maybe some actions should consume food bars? In this game hard, physical work does not affect burnt callories.
2. You cannot cook rabbit over campfire. Strange, as I was cooking many things over campfires.
3. Sheeps are spamming lambs without eating.
4. Crafting first soil: pick it up from wild soil deposit. Such a thing almost don't exist in reality, as it would be covered pretty quickly with plants. Such a phenomena can be created by eating boars or falling tree, but it is temporary.
5. U need berries and carrot to make compost. Corn, cabbage is unacceptable.
6. You can acquire feather from wild goose, but not domestic
7. You cannot eat seal.
8. Backpack is possible to do only from rabbit fur, despite seals, pigs and cows available in the game.

And so on, and so on. This just a simulation and you are a single developer. We understand the lack of crafting versatility. Please, just don't justify these lacks with reality aspect, like you did quite often with arrow in the chest, before medicine update.

To be fair, one minute is an entire year. So it would take at least a year to gather all the stones for a well, a few more to drain the ponds and probably 10-20 years initially to get tools from scratch. All depends how much resources you have on hand.

I do agree with some of the realism tho.

It's pretty sad when your last girl dies and it's only males left. I often see ppl opting to suicide or stating "an eve will come". Sometimes the Eve does come but by then everything has decayed.

What if you could make an object capable of summoning an Eve one time. Maybe that old monolith could be used. Or maybe one of those multiple Gen things like a bell tower, automatically triggers an Eve when the bloodline runs out of fertile women.

Or perhaps it's too cheaty or uneeded.

Need grain silos to store it for later use and reduce clutter. Should also be able to make hay bales too.

Right now we can only mine iron, when you run out of surface iron you can always make a mine to delay the inevitable. Same thing for water really, upgrade whenever you run out. It's a way to force us advance rather then playing caveman Eve forever.

Anyway I think we need mines for various other resources, Flat rocks, Hard rocks, Clay and so on. That and deep iron mines.

I kinda wish they would agro on murderers maybe within a certain of range of course. Then you could create neutral zones to deter murder in towns.

#18 Re: Main Forum » Bowled Berries, will Jason ever fix this? » 2018-09-25 01:04:37

Whi cares, it's one yum point. I don't even use it because it's easier to carry a pie with you then hunt a different food everytime your hungry.

Should be some sort of award for doing it. Maybe it should summon an Eve or something.

#20 Re: Main Forum » Griefing, what are the ‘laws’ of OHOL » 2018-09-23 15:00:26

1. Intentionally sabotaging a town, like killing livestock, Cutting all wheat or stealing tools etc.

2. Being bloodthirsty and murdering without proper reason or warning, Slaughtering fertile women for the perpose of killing off a lineage.

So far I've only seen trees planted on a traditional field. That just makes a giant impassable block when they grow.

Is it better to leave a space in between so we can walk through?

#24 Re: Main Forum » Eve Pharo vs Lisa Pharo » 2018-09-22 01:48:41

Eve's don't own a town, not in future incarnations at least. Just because you started a town dosn't mean you comeback hours later and yell "I'm Eve listen to me!!" besides I wouldn't believe someone who claimed that either.

They didn't insult anyone, just told them not to keep babies. You probably backtalked with that Eve crap and got yourself murdered, plenty griefers lie about being the original Eve just to get Gear.

I feel like Pharo is the only salty one here. The two "griefers" saved a kid and later got a sheep for the village. The one child policy wasn't true, It was to starve all the excess babies because we already had a bunch of children. So you kept a kids despite being told not to and here you on the forums insulting them for trying to save your town.
