What a great game! The game mechanics are so unique and are designed to create a community effort for advancing the civilization. There's so much to say about this, but let me just comment on one aspect: texting.
Text ing is how players communicate in the game. When you are born, you can only say one letter. Saying the letter "F" is a plea for mom to feed you. When mom asks you a question, you can respond with a "y" or "n" for yes or no.
As you get older, the amount of letters you can text increases. So as a child you can say "food" or "water". Being new to the location, a child often is looking for these basic resources.
When you get to be an adult, you can say much more. And usually you are teaching youngins what to do, and maybe newb mom's.
And when you get to be an elder, you have a lot to say. You can't go very far anymore, so usually the old ones sit around and eat a berry every five seconds and talk a lot. You've played for almost an hour, and likely if you've made it this far, you know a thing or two about survival. So this is the time to impart that knowledge. Otherwise you can just sit around and be a wise guy... I've seen grandpas say things like,"Get off my lawn!" and grandmas say, "Put some pants on!" |
