I start off crying as usual to a mum who instantly picks me up and tells me we will live. We are in a lush place with many berry bushes around. It was just me and her until she popped out a baby brother. Once i hit the age of 6 or so i tell my mum we...cant...last. The berry bushes were depleting fast! I decide something has to be done. I shove a berry down my throat and begin the search for more berry bushes. To my surprise i stumble upon another civilization. They had a new food...carrots! I pick up a carrot or two and eat them instantly just dodging starvation. I run back to where i left my mum. She was missing. I will never know what happened to her. I was all alone. I head back to the village and to my surprise everyone was missing. It turns out i had eaten the last of the carrots and everybody starved to death. After this i need food and begin the search again to find more berries. I find some but also stumble upon a new place not too far from the big civilization earlier. It has a couple of farm plots and carrot seeds. It was my chance. I eat a carrot and wonder how is a 10 year old possibly meant to farm. I pick up a seed and shove it in the dirt. I then notice they already had water pouches. I fill them up at a pond nearby and water the seeds. In the wait i eat berries nearby. Once the carrots grew i harvested them and placed them into a backpack and basket nearby. I then take the backpack and heard to the earlier civilization from earlier. I take more baskets with me going back and forth repeating the planting process. Soon i am growing old. I find a mother and child at the old civilization. The mum tells me they're lost. I tell them to follow me and head back home hoping they can help me keep the farm going. I lose them in some trees and never see them again. I then become really old with a decent carrot farm established. I decide i don't want to eat any more carrots as i am approaching death to preserve some for the future. I close my eyes and drift to sleep leaving a small mark in the world. Hopefully it will thrive in the future.
