Please, read all of this if you can:
Firstly, I want to mention that I don't typically like writing things like this but I had to...
I met a guy who taught me how to survive - he taught me how to create traps, hunt, cook and eat. This is just a story of what went down during my first 3+ hours in the game.
After many failed attempts of survival, I was later born into a wealthy camp with around 4 other tribe members; they took care of me and fed me well. As I grew up, one of the male camp members asked if I knew how to craft traps, I didn't know how, so he proceeded to show me the ropes of crafting a trap. After some minutes of gathering some resources, I created my first snare. He then asked if I knew how to hunt, in which I didn't know that either, so once again, we got my snare and went on a small journey north-east on the hunt for rabbit families. He taught me to snare my first rabbit and we traveled back to camp with it and stored it for later. After the first hunt, I was given the instruction to now make a snare and catch a rabbit on my own without his guidance. About 15 minutes after me trying to remember the resources for a snare trap, I managed to catch my very first rabbit on my own! I bought it back to camp and he gave me lots of gratitude and I thanked him for helping me out so much (as previous matches most people was very vague with their tips) Lastly but not least, he taught me how to then cook the rabbit and eat it, he kept the first rabbit for himself and we both cooked the rabbits and we ate them together. One last time, I thanked him for teaching me so much... And then, out of nowhere, without him saying a thing, he dies on us and leaves me with his clothes. I was so thankful and it made me appreciate this game a lot more, he passed down his knowledge to me whom I can now pass down too.
Like I said, I usually don't like writing things like this, but I just had to after this experience. It was absolutely incredible and one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had (and I've been gaming on PC for over 10 years) I can't wait to find out more and also play more. |
