I was born in a ghost town really. My mother was the only one to be seen. Old buildings stood around me, cracking of old age. Two baskets of carrots seemed in good shape. I must have been five when my baby sister was born. I started making farms the moment I could hold a basket. My mother was less fortunate than me and my sister. I would assume she got lost as I never saw her after my sister was old enough to eat. I farmed for a few years. My sister seemed to take food and never help, one day she disappeared with all the carrots and a cart. It was hard to get by after that, berries were scarce but they held me off till the new crop was ready. I was getting old and felt alone, I had no purpose. So I packed up some food and headed out to look for others. I traveled for years finding dead bodies and old buildings everywhere, but one day everything stopped appearing. No bodies, no buildings, not even a shard stone in sight. It was peaceful. It seemed I had an itch I couldn't scratch. I kept traveling, hair turning gray back curling. Through snow and desert I wandered until I came upon the hundredth green pasture. This time the place felt different. I unloaded what was left of my food and sat there thinking of the life that passed me by so quickly. I was lucky I had a mother who cared for me and lucky I had a home. It's moments like this that gives me hope for the advancement of my fellow people. I want to see just how far we can go and hope that we can come together to make something special.
