After being thrown to the wolves by my first mother with nothing but a "sorry", and after starving as 14 year old mother, I just finished my first full hour of life and it was one of the most powerful experiences I have ever had playing a game.

In an episode of TNG Picard gets to live out a whole other life. This is the experience offered by One Hour One Life.

I was born Akira, to a mother always busy working the kiln. She never had time to teach me the craft, but I learned from my sister how to farm. Her children learned the art of cooking and forging while I continued to sow my meager fields. I did not know how to build any of the marvelous things my younger relatives did, but I could plant carrots, so I did, for an entire lifetime. At first my plot of land was far from water, it was awkwardly placed away from the center of the village. But as they kept expanding my garden was engulfed. It out lived its usefulness, as had I. They were growing more food than I ever had. So I took up a shovel and set about burying the dead who we had never had time to tend to. I found the bones of nieces and nephews who wandered too far, of ancestors I had never known or heard of. I found the bones of my mother who must have died tending to the kiln. I said goodbye to my niece, as she instructed her son to rebuild the kiln up north, for we had grown so numerous.

I made a meager contribution, and it was soon surpassed, but when I died it was with pride.
