One Hour One Life is a game in which you start out as a small child; Helpless, hungry and stupid. If you get lucky, your mom feeds you and you live until your old enough to feed yourself, and this is where OHOL gets interesting.

You can start making contributions that will help new generations; Creating a Kiln for firing plates and bowls, or an oven for baking pies. Constructing houses and roads, farms and tools, smithies and smelteries.

P erhaps at first your contribution seems small. Oh wow, look at me, I planted a berry bush! But then, maybe you look at your future generations, and realize that a single berry bush taught them how to farm and motivated them to keep farming.

Ther e is always a looming factor in OHOL, a factor that exists in real life as well along with hunger and reproducing.. Time.

You can treat Time as your enemy and work hard to get stuff done, but die unsatisfied. Or you could treat Time as your friend, and welcome your death knowing that you will be helping hundreds of players in the future.

This isn't a game about living forever and being creative and doing whatever you want, its a game about utter hopelessness, triumph, contribution, teamwork and communication.
Maybe you'll live to the fullest extent and die at the oldest possible age, or maybe you'll have a mother who abandons you at age four and leaves you to rot beside a bear cave (I'm looking at you, 17th mom!).

Maybe you'll be born into a Civilization of epic proportions, with farms and steel tools and metalworking and cattle pens, or maybe you'll be born into a small community of four who just figured out how to build a fire. You'll never know, and thats the beauty of this game.

You don't get to decide what situation you get born into, what you look like, what your skills are or who you're born from, which makes every life completely unique.

Anywa ys, have fun on a map that is '700 Times the size of Jupitor'
