There have been major improvements to the focus on the style of frustration this game gives off. Some items have been finally given a use like the large rock.

The shift in frustration is gradually shifting toward prioritization in terms on the process of doing things. This is done through the milkweed respawn removal.

Milk weed is a primary resource that carries civilizations throughout the game. By limiting the respawning of milkweed, the process of how to use milkweed becomes more rigid.

The first stages of milkweed must be used to create a portable water source, or else more milkweed products cannot be created through inevitable shortage. Soil needs to be conserved for milkweed aside from just food.

Unfortu nately, there is a significant issue with this approach despite its value. The overhead for starting a civilization grows.

With the greater need for water, soil, and milkweed, this creates a need for scavenging and traversing longer distances to obtain resources that may not even be there. While this seems like a natural procedure, the reality is that the immense hunger drain forces this condition to be largely infeasible.

N aturally one would want to use milkweed to make clothes then to avoid this hunger issue. However, this has been pushed to a lower priority compared to a portable water source. Thus people are forced to try and roam for miles on end, naked, to try and just start civilization.

Inevitably, they die to excessive consumption of the immediate food sources before getting the chance to create renewable food. This is difficult for a large group of individuals as it is for a small group. Thus, one must pray to the RNG gods that their are enough resources nearby to feasibly create a civilization.

Another issue is pine walls. Before it was something people were not willing to make. Now it is quite literally impossible to make in the natural order of prioritization.
< br>It should not take twenty milkweeds to create a single pine panel. Especially when only two adobe is required to create a single wall. There is an enormous disparity in difficulty to create certain objects compared to their reward.

A serious evaluation of resource requirements and what the final product offers in return is necessary.

Wh ile there are still issues in the game, I can clearly see progress towards reaching a better form of gameplay. I look forward to what else is to come.
