This game is genuinely one of the most powerful artistic experiences I have ever engaged with, I've had a lot of games make me feel things but this is the one that more than anything made me feel human, I'm sorry if that is a vague way t describe it but it's the best I have. I have been a mother, a father, a tribal leader, a hermit, a hunter and farmer. I have tended crops, stalked beasts, I have even stolen children from neighboring tribes when my own was to die and lived to see them call me Father, I have passed on in shame after failing my brothers and sisters but I have also left the world with peace in my heart knowing I have done right by my kin.
This is not a game, this is a world and an art piece and may very well be the most triumphant summary of the human condition I have every experienced. |
