I've been playing for a couple of hours tonight and had an amazing time.

First, It started with the Wises, an eve camp. I was there four times, dying young. On the fourth, I found an expert waystone.
I came back for my fifth, ready to explore the new area, full of life! I impatiently waited to be big enough, before making a basket and starting my 700 meters run north, to an unknown city, which may or may not be abandoned.
It wasn't looking good, I found forgotten bodies, however, luck struck and I found a horse and cart with a body of full clothes. I was estatic! coming from an eve camp with no clothes or pies, this was a gold mine.
I continue my journey in good spirits and eventually run upon The Mises Family, (later I misremember) as Moss). I do a quick sprint around and attempt to engage in conversation, however, the language barrier and lack of interest held me back.
I stop for a moment to steal some pies and a few more things to help my eve camp. Stacking all this into my horse and cart, I say unheard goodbyes and race back home.

Death.
"Curse [redacted] Wise!" people screamed. Someone had released bears. Thankfully, I had grabbed a knife, I carefully get off my horse to allow someone to grab the knife. Out of nowhere, someone runs and grabs the horse.
It had been the griefer.
It was chaos. I attempted to grab a bow to shoot the bear, except my dumbass doesn't know how to shoot and simply gets mauled.
Welp, goodbye Wises.

-

I was next born in a town I remember! The Mises! I was overjoyed, as soon as I was old enough, I could go check on the Wises to see if they had defeated evil.
The younger years were a blur. As I am old enough, I stuff my backpacks full of pies and rush south. It was a long journey on foot but I soon made it.
Dead bodies. Everywhere. Only one survivor, Steve Wise. He was there, riding the horse I had brought! Through our language barrier, I manage to convince him to come north to the Mises.
We set off, and he dies from old age. I took my horse home and head back.

My exploration thirst was not quenched and I wish for more. I find another waystone and set off, now this time west. I stumble across the Voss. Very simple conversation, a little ride around then back home.

At the Mises, there was one girl we joked was a little crazy and in a "silly goofy mood", Clara Mises. She always attempted to try stab someone with the knives on display but never quite managed. A bit of harmless stuff.
Unfortunately for the Mises, it ran in the family.
Her daughter, [redacted] Mises, decided to take over the town. Slowly she did. First, we discover all the sheep slaughtered.  Next, she accuses July Mises. We watch as she stabs her, the blood dripping down her shirt.
Next, she accuses another person of killing the [alive] cows. We watch as she stabs him.
I caught on at this point, but my inability to stab is hindering me. She then stabs the current leader and becomes the leader herself. Unstoppable.

Tyranny.
Slowly, this girl kills off most people in town. As my wrinkles grow, I try to get my revenge. "Curse [redacted] Mises!". I try to stab her, now having used google to figure out how. Unfortunately, I had no possey and only one adult was left other than ourselves. I am then promptly exiled and die of old age.
The end of Mises.

-

I couldn't believe it! I had been now born a Voss. I knew what I had to do. I planned from the start as I eyed up murder weapons. As I wait to grow, I wander around and help out.
Once I am 11, I head to the bakery and just think out-loud of my plan to head back to the Mises village and kill the tyrannic leader.
"I was there, she killed me!"
A slightly older man piped up.
"What was your name?" I ask, an ally perhaps?
"July Mises", excited, I ask if he, Gene, would like to join my plan.
Gene gladly agreed, we grabbed our weapons and set off, at one point we got lost but eventually came back to the Mises village, unsure of what to expect. Carefully, we wander back in. Deserted. Where was everyone?

Revenge.
Soon, we get our answer. The last Mises, the Tyrannical leader, had killed everyone else. They stood there, gray, wrinkly and lonely.
"[redacted]" We stated. "We have come for revenge."
Their chat oozed black, from the previous curses placed on them.
"I killed everyone, I killed all my kids"
We had enough. Our knives hit their target and the girl stood there with blood dripping down. No sign of remorse, just joy.

Eventually, she fell and Gene and I threw her into the woods.
We buried our old bodies, July and Simon. I left a note, "July and Simon, the last of the Moss Family", mistyped for sure.

"Do you want to see if the wises are alive?" I asked Gene, up for another adventure.
He agreed and we set off. On the two horses, we had gained from the Mises Village, we zoomed south.
Unfortunately, I got separated from Gene at one point and checked the family tree. He had died of old age, I could never find the body for a proper burial :(

I could never find the Wise camp, however, I did find the Naabs and informed them of the abandoned town to the north and headed home.

Over the past few hours, I realised. I had had the same horse. Affectionately, I nicknamed her Emma. Placed her in the sheep pen at the Voss Sheep pen, and headed to the graveyard to await my death, happy and fulfilled.

side note- I'm very confused. I could've sworn I was called Tim Mises but no Tim mises exists, only Simon. Who knows.

What's your favourite random tips and tricks to help out new and old?

E.G. You can wash out seeds from bowls using water, without using up the water!

You know those random but fulfilling lives you have? this is one of them.

Mary Felix was born into a dying town, one of two surviving daughters of Princess Felix, and only an aunt and uncle alongside.
Quickly getting to work, the town soon became bustling again with 3 women, and kids left and right!
The age of the town was showing as the adobe walls crumbled, and it was an utter mess, but events of bigger importance had captivated the town

A strange man had come along. Galloping around insanely with a horse and stealing right from under our noses!
The man was quickly shot by an annoyed citizen, and children were told to look away and "ignore the bloody corpse" and "stranger danger"
Angered, a party of the Felix's set off for war against this strange city the man had come from.
No one stood, the strange city's occupants had all been killed by the Grizzly, Mary and her sister, Mariaalejandra had stayed home and were soon informed of this fate after the party returned.

Unfortunately, the party set off again and was met by the same fate, Grizzly Bears. Unfortunately, Mary and Maria were not aware of this and as they aged older, they noticed their family had never returned.

"I guess this is over, but let's clean this up for any explorers"

As they went past fertile age luckless with kids, it was clear this would be the end of the Fenix's within this town, and bustling around they tidied up the previously very messy town for any future explorers to stumble upon it.

Mary had one last mission, to write a note for those to find in the future, placed on the central table, simply signed; "Maria and Mary, the last Fenix's"

Side-note, looking at the recent family tree, the random dude could've been from the Birch's.

Hiya all smile

After a lil while of not playing the game because of owning a MacBook, I recently discovered awbz and was very excited to get back into it!

Unfortunately, in my excitement, I went straight to the email I know would have my key on it but, alas, no email containing the key to be found! I'm not quite sure what happened, did have a big sort out on said email a while ago so could've gotten deleted in the chaos. I have 2 forums emails and 1 updates email so I think I'm missing even more OHOL emails but the key is the important one!!

Any way to get a key again? I have the receipt of purchase on said email + I used my steam key and have the game on steam (cannot use).

Help would be appreciated, thank you!

It sucks how there’s really never any huge cities with organised roads and buildings and all fenced in,

I’ve only come across them once or twice but it actually brings order and calmness.
Imagine a city with all the main buildings and things in the centre and a road leading out with properties.

I understand this is a huge “develop stuff and stuff doesn’t last forever” game, but they would be nice “pitstops” between lives.

I’d love to also see some order with leadership, like a monarchy type but not just queens.

I like griefers if there aren’t too many,
adds an aspect to the game and it’s fun to execute them and adds a few jobs.

Many of you may not know me, but I was the one who founded the bob trend- and the very original bob town. While I have been inactive, I have heard of much hatred toward the bobs.

With the recent no double names update, it is time to put an end. I had no idea of how much people hate the name until I returned today- and it should be looked back on with the happy parts, and I fondly remember when I spawned back into bob town many generations later and seeing how much it has grown.

Nothing too special, just very wholesome life, didn't even name anyone bob sad

Lucky was born to a compact little town, you didn't need to travel far to get to each side. His mother ran off, but she came past again, just as he was about to die. She asked
"Who abandoned you, poor baby?" Lucky, unable to say much, quickly replied "u", amused. Star, his mother, chuckled, embarrassed and took him to a small wood floor.
"I am building, would you like to help?" She asked, in her soothing voice. Lucky nodded and as soon as his hands could snatch at anything, he grabbed a bowl of berries. Starting to set up stakes, he awaited his mothers return, as she had set out to prepare some more rocks to create steady walls.

As Lucky grew older, his mother grew frail. He feared her death, after a few false-alarms, he returned to see his mothers bones. He let out a wail and scooped her bones up, placing them beside the unfinished building, only 2 sides to finish. He set out to get more rocks on his trusty steed, eventually, the walls were finished and he was wrinkly.

In his last few years, he retrieved his ma's body and created a grave. He was too old to actually make anything for it so he stood by it and talked about his wonderous building, and how proud he was. An idea came to his mind, he could place a simple rock beside it! But it was too late for Poor lucky, as he ran off, he reached his fate.

I just spawned in a huge town and after that a lot eves spawned as well. I could count nine of them. I've lived in this town about three times this week, but it was dead when we spawned there. We started a fire and boom. Baby boom, more than twelve babies at once, I spent my life naming and feeding babies, because no one was doing that, it was a chaos. Even after getting old, I kept feeding and naming them, I could see some great grandchildren because the town has a lot of food and everyone survived. The population there when I died was about thirty-forty people. Let's see how much families survive there, I love multi family towns.

The biggest game-changer of note since the Steam release would be the temperature update.

Jungles are as hot as the cold biomes are cold and deserts are as dangerous as tundra.  Biome borders are no longer perfect temp - you just jump from really hot to really cold.  No more desert border towns and jungle towns.   Buildings are still pretty useless and dangerously griefable.  Clothing is more useful, especially max clothing.  Don't get bit by mosquitoes - that still sucks alot.

Other than that, we now have airplanes, cars, and radioes.    Did I miss anything important?

oh yes, time to fly !!
