It's a fun game, but definitely get the Yumlife Mod from Github so that you can see more than 2 squares in front of your nose.
Best played with a group. The mod can help with that as well. Player base is small, but dedicated, generally welcoming and helpful. More so if you have the mod, because it allows players to be identified and therefore trusted. |

I wrote a review years ago. I don't recall what it said, and have no recollection how to locate it. I spent a lot of time playing OHOL and most lifetimes were enjoyable. There are some great people here and this game captures some truly heartfelt moments somehow. Victoria Falls remains my favorite civilization, despite the eventual slaughter. |

Great families. One leader taught me how to shoot wolves. I killed five for family and they patched me up when I was attacked. 10 out of 10 would hunt wolves for them again |

Great game, would recommend. Griefers are a bit much sometimes but if you manage to get rid of them this is an awesome life simulator. |
