I was a boy born into a village built by people who had come and gone years before we ever arrived, my grandmother having traveled to the once abandoned site by foot from her own, bear-worshiping town.

It was cold. There was no fire in the village to warm ourselves by, so we shivered and hungered. We could still feed ourselves, but we ate much faster than we grew crops.

I enjoyed my first several attempts at rebuilding civilization. After about 2 hours, I'd managed to *almost* get a fire going-- yes, the game is hard.

Several of my early spawns were as a baby. My first mother immediately walked away from me, with no comment, and I unceremoniously starved. The world is a cruel, cruel place.

Surprisingly , though, my subsequent spawns were more succes...

OHOL is a great game, I love seeing how things work. It's always fun to make things, especially if your a pie baker. Sometimes there is drama and awesome incidents that happen. I'm not good at describing why a game is good so im sorry.

This by far has been the most fulfilling game I have ever played. I spawned to a mother, that was told to let me die because I was born a male and not female. She carried me to the north to a berry field. She cared for me until I was of age and left me to fend on my own. I was able to survive, got food, clothing and a backpack. When she came back, she told me they were all dead and I could come ho...

When you have a good life, you will have stories to tell. Stories of your mom, who raised you. Stories of your siblings, who taught you and learned from you. And stories of your children, who love you and will remember you (and sometimes grow up to be crazy murderers). The many lives being left behind as a baby are worth the few stories that you will get to keep forever.
