Here's how CCM handled this back in the day. (Original source removed, I've archived within 2HOL)
https://github.com/twohoursonelife/arch … equests.md

My understanding is there were ~5 frequent contributors to their Data7, but it's been about 3-4 years since anyone I know of used this process in full.

We infrequently use these scripts around 2HOL, but don't have it down pat for multiple regular contributors.

I'd be interested in contributing or supporting attempts at improving this problem.

I mentioned three fairly simple changes that would exponentially improve the game here:

It's getting to a point where we may as well just fix the game ourselves.

I mostly just need someone who is familiar with the source, and knows where everything is, to walk me through the various files I need to edit.

I can do the coding myself, I just don't want to have to parse dozens of files to just make a few small changes.

This would all theoretically be done mid-late December after my term is over.

Please do come and say hi on Discord smile

Jason had a random Zoom meeting a while ago, it'd be cool to see that or a stream become semi regular.

hello fellow villagers

I come to ask for a piece of your time and thoughts.

Please fill in this short survey on your thoughts of the game.
I encourage you to take an extra moment, if you can, to give some real consideration to what you submit.
Really think back on the times that have bothered you or the times that you have really enjoyed or even the times that are yet to come.

thank you

I've confirmed that Firefox is displaying an alert. A full-page, red screen "deceptive site ahead" kind of alert.

Chrome is not doing so yet, but I encourage anyone to also report this to Chrome go by going to https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebro … ish/?hl=en Considering the topic, instead of clicking the link you can also Google search for "Report phishing chrome"

I also encourage other people to submit an abuse report to 000webhostapp.com. Toxic is not the first person to use this free service to host phishing sites and I've successfully reported and had one taken down in the past by submitting a report here https://www.000webhost.com/report-abuse

I imagine the website simply doesn't respond after some time, 000webhostapp.com is a free website hosting platform.

Stay safe!

Please support the latest version of Mac.

I'm pretty sure that mod users play much more and stay for much longer.

I also have no data and could be equally as wrong, but it may be worth considering that it's actually the other way around.
Players who love the game and play more, eventually get involved enough to find and use the mods.

Oh and while I'm here, I love your talks Jason, would be great to make it to one some time.

Still debating whether I should explore the Nevada Desert though...

#14 Re: Main Forum » I trust in Jason's decisions » 2019-10-27 10:32:00

The original message of this post was quite wholesome and one that very much resonates with me.

It's admirable to see how Jason involves himself in this discussion and battles with the endless critique.

Which makes me hesitant to release it to the public, because it's not a "finished" piece of software, really.

Any plans to make it a finished piece of software? smile

I'm glad to see Jason has decided to hire a community-liason.  Great move.  No need for Jason to absorb the brunt of our discontent with whatever, lol.

I hope he starts paying me soon--bin invoicing, and writing love poems, to him for days now. He hasn't responded yet. Do you think he doesn't like me?! Lol, just kidding, if that wasn't clear...

And just so it's clear, griping about your fave game is such a fun thing to do, but yooo this board has some people that have lost the fun of it. I walked into this place, hoping to find a space where people talked about their mutual love/excitement for the game (y'all read destiny's bit on corn--it's a fucking clinic!!) and shared cool shit with one another, but boy... was I ever startled. This forum is full of the common stuff that you see quietly, or explicitly, moderated on other boards too, and it's a great lesson why most of those boring forum rules get implemented in the first place. Like, this is a venue with direct access to a developer and it's just full of the worst kind of posts.

I might be naive, or maybe I've just played too much OHOL lately and think my efforts on a persistent forum matter, lol, but I think reminding people that their developer isn't against them is a good thing. Some of the suggestions (read: complaints) on here are just cheat codes with more steps and if gamesharks taught us anything about gaming, getting what you "want" isn't always fun. I think it's great the developer can admit that parts of their game are boring/not-fun and actively participates with the community that's sprung up from their work. That's A1-hyper-plus- alpha-pneumatic in my books, so I'm interested in sharing my excitement to see what solutions will be implemented, and I think a lot of posts on here are litter for new and would be players, like myself, who would otherwise love to join into the discussion--me in a nutshell.

I don't know what it is about what you say, but I want more of it. Never have I seen more sense here.

Now all we need is have shooting moufflon as well as killing sheep be hungry work or something similar. I played yesterday and moufflon and sheep are pretty much the go-to-things to grief now.

See that sounds great but a griefer is always going to go for the easiest method. This will only create a never-ending loop of things that are grief, you can probably already see this happening.

Regarding life stages. I know age 55-100 acts as the exact same as regular adults, my main problem is how you look. It feels wrong to me to be popping out babies when you look a dry orange. It also feels wrong to look like an elder for over 50 % of your lifespan.

You know if there is any way to change this?

I've never looked into it but it sure would be possible, we're not capable of this though.

2 players online... I would check it if more people played it. This forum isn't the best way to advertise your server since most of people here have bought original ohol

We're not just for people who don't want to buy the game, OHOL players are welcome too of course! There's plenty of differing content for everyone!

DestinyCall wrote:

Classic paradox.  More people would join if more people already joined.   I played last night in a nice little village with a server pop of nine.    Don't expect sixty players on at the same time, since even the main game is struggling to pull those numbers.   Think low pop server and come check it out.  Your presence will draw more players.

Heh, a pity the world works like that. Thank you.

Does it have any of the recent features (war swords, property fences, languages, rift, etc.)?

We have all of these features you mentioned, with the Rift and languages disabled.

No, we do not have any different characters. Although, something to put on the list!
