I don't play OHOL anymore due to some updates made by Jason, but I'm reposting this suggestion made by me long time ago in Reddit to at least have a hope of returning if it is accepted or at least taken it as a prototype.
Fatherhood and Marriages
Why?
This would encourage rp and trade between different families.
To get married you would need to make two rings, one for you and one for your wife, then both of you put on the ring, this would give fertility to your wife (this can be changed). To make the rings you need to click on stakes with a sharped stone/mallet in a wooden shoe.
After a baby is born the person who names the kid will give him his surname, for example: Jane Chips and Henry Soap had a child, if Jane names the baby, the baby will be called [name] Chips-Soap, then if this child gets married with a girl from Coke family their children will be called [name] Chips-Coke (if he names the child) or [name] Coke-Chips (if she names the child).
(I'm not good at Photoshop) This image explains my suggestion. Please look at all the details.
If your child gets named by your husband/wife, the decendence of your child will have the lastname of your husband/wife, so they won't be part of your family. (You can see how it would look in the image).
I thought they talked about having support for Adams at some point. But, are those just players that start off as adult males and can't be fathers then? Or do they no longer exist?
The last time I played 2HOL was in the start of 2019 or in the end of 2018, but I remeber that adams could have their own children, it was really strange lol.
Newbies quit the game because it's too boring to play in big towns.
The best way to learn in this game is playing the tutorial, OneTech and videos. (This game need a recipe book)
I don't play this game anymore because in my opinion it went in the wrong way and it's totally different than the game that I bought time ago, you just play in big cities that the only things they need is food and tools.
Language barrier, gene score, family speciality, etc destroyed this game, even rift era was better than this new OHOL.
And in my opinion wars were really funny and made the need to defend the cities.
The golden era of this game is over, and the way that the game took is going to kill him.
Jason, you need a new trailer, because this game is totally different from the one that you made in 2018.
Job titles are a great idea, but hierarchies are always too small, maybe a family-hierarchy system would be better. (You can't leave from the hierarchy of your family).
That's impossible due to the current hierarchy system.
To have kingdoms the only way is a "Family Hierarchy System" were there's a leader per family.
Eve choose her heir, then when he takes the throne he choose a new heir and so on until the lineage dies.
Could you provide an example of a situation where a single family would need to migrate?
I wrote that because Jason wrote that in his post. (I used the example of Jason).
Town finally died by rp players. Beautiful history.
I read that Jason will add more features for hierarchy system, but there's a problem, the people of the families don't follow one person, they follow different people, so, if your family need to migrate no one will do it, because there will be a lot of leaders that only hold the title of "king/duke/baron/etc" and they don't care for others.
I think the solution to this problem is one leader per family. (But there can be Dukes/barons/counts too to be leaders of parts of the family that live in other sites)
How to elect the leader of your family?
First option: If 1/4 of your family follow X person, a box will appear on the screen of all his relatives saying "Do you want
X to become the leader of your family?" to accept you need to say "I agree". If 1/2 accepts he will be the
new leader.
If your family have a leader you can't unfollow him, but an older (55 years old or older) can make a
"referendum" to overthrown him, if 1/4 of your family agree the leader will be overthrown.
What if there are relatives living in a town that is far away from leader?
If there are people living far away from their leader they can choose a leader for them (If the leader of the
family is a king the new leader of the new town will be a duke under the control of the king). To
choose a leader for they city they need to be 200 meters away from the leader of the family.
Second option: An elective monarchy. Eve will choose her best children/grandchildren/great grandchildren, then the
person she chose will choose another good player to be his heir and then this will happen again and again
until the family dies out.
The leader can be overthrown with the same system of the first option and cadet branches can choose a
leader for them with the system of the first option.
Comment better solutions! And sorry for my horrible english.
What if there's no conqueror? For example, it's common enough for Eve babies to run away and start their own villages.
I think the solution to that problem is that after 2 generations that are far away from the main branch of the family, a random baby-conqueror will appear.
What happens when a family gets split?
When the family gets split, the "conqueror" of the new town will have the same bonuses of the leader of the family, and he should choose a heir too, but he must accept all orders from the leader of the family.
Do people from other families see the bad player marks?
Yes, if your leader mark you all people will see that you were marked.
Sorry for my bad english...
What I have read seems like a bad idea, followers etc. I think is going to be a chaos.
We don't need a Monarchy or a feudal system with Dukes, Counts, etc.
The best option is a meritocracy system or "Elective Monarchy were the only elector is the leader".
Eve choose her heir, then her heir choose the best player in the town to be her heir, etc. So, a lot of people will want to be the new heir, but to be that they must work and must do good actions for the town and family.
If a person want to make a new town or colonize an abandoned one, can ask to the leader/king/emperor of the family to be a "conqueror" or something like that, so he will have the same bonuses of the leader of the family, but he must accept orders from the leader. To make a person a "Conqueror" the leader should say "X is a conqueror".
If the leader of the family is a tyrant, a player who is 55 or older can say "Our leader has to be overthrown", then everyone can say "I agree". To say "I agree" you must be 14 years old or older.
If the person who says "Our leader has to be overthrown" is far away from his relatives, a box will be displayed on his relatives screen saying "A person is saying that the leader has to be overthrown", then his relatives can choose to say "I agree" or to keep playing with a tyrant.
If half of the family +1 member agrees the leader will be overthrown and his heir will be the new leader.
If the leader dies without choosing a heir, his closest relative will be the new leader.
The bonuses of the leader of the family will be: -He can be killed only if he is overthrown.
-If the leader is a woman will have fertility bonus, if the leader is a man
his sisters or closest female relatives will have fertility bonus, if she/he is
overthrown the fertility bonus will dissapear.
-He can mark bad players.
-Saying "! text" a box with his text will be displayed on the screen of all
his relatives.
All bonuses dissapear after being overthrown.
This system will work very well because only good players will be the leaders of the family.
Eve will choose her best child/grandchild/greatgrandchild, then her heir will choose another good player, then this will happen again and again until the lineage end.
No, I have Hetuw mod and I can see how many girls are alive.
I always see that a family has only one girl but bbys keep spawning in families with 10-15 girls alive.
The idea of a true monarchy in this game is really bad.
The best option is a meritocracy system or "Elective Monarchy were the only elector is the leader" where eve choose her heir, then her heir choose the best player in the town to be her heir, etc. So, a lot of people will want to be the new heir, but to be that they will work and will do good actions for the town and family.

If the person who says "Our leader has to be overthrown" is far from his relatives, a box will be displayed on his relatives screen saying "A person is saying that the leader has to be overthrown", then his relatives can choose to say "I agree" or to keep playing with a tyrant like their leader.
If half of the family +1 member agrees the leader will be overthrown and his heir will be the new leader.
If the leader dies without choosing a heir, his closest relative will be the new leader.
The bonuses of the leader of the family will be: -He can be killed only if he is overthrown.

If a leader becomes a tyrant the people of the family can remove him from his title, saying "Our leader has to be overthrown" then the people should say "I agree with you/X" and the next in the line of succesion will be the new leader.
The leader can't be killed, if the leader is a woman she will have fertility bonus, if the leader is a man he will give fertility bonus to his sisters or closest relatives. When the people remove the leader, the person will lose all his bonuses.
I remember that there was a system that gave bbys to families with 3 or less females, but right now sometimes there's a family with only one girl and the bbys keep getting born in big families.
We need a balanced system of bbys to have long lineages.
I think it's to improve gene score.
When you are a woman you can have children, if they live enough your gene score will grow.
Man can't have children, maybe we need a marriage system or anything like that where men and women can have children.
I made a suggestion in reddit for that system, but I removed it because I knew Jason wasn't going to read it.
The town that is next to the south rift is Gomez Town, north of that town is Toadvine Town and idk how is called the other town who was used by Lissaks yesterday.
At North-East corner of the map there is a new Gomez Town.
I agree with you.
Family racism was a problem in that times.
I remember when the blacks of my fam killed all the whites, anyways I saved my white children.
The rift is likely a temporary thing.
ILY Jason.
Put your suggestions in reddit pls.
The people make their suggestions in reddit like Jason said, so, you must do that.
I prefer family tree than table with players.
OHOL has family tree too. -> http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … 51DD9F1AE6
Click on a portrait to see the family tree of the character.
