Look if you are going to make the Apocalypse then put it in a lock room. There are way to many blocked up apocalypse towers around town.

I can run though the tutorial in about 10 minutes.  I like to find faster and better ways to do simple things. also I like to help new player get a hang of the game.  It is also fun to see all the different reactions from the people.

One time a new  I had a new tutorial spawn right on top of me will all my tools on the other side of the wall. what a shock that new play had and a good laugh. They had no idea what they where doing and watch me do everything.  they even help out once they see how things are done.

Jason should really put a water pond in the tutorial. could be walking out of there with a fully load cart every time!

I just played in the speed family and down to only 2 kids. also that server has some bugs going nuts on it.  Things coming in and going out existence.

It feels good when they get there just deserts.

Personal favorite some kid keeps asking for the knife but wont give me a reason for why he needs it. So I stab him and people are like why and I'm like "he ask for it". Most people laugh while the kid dies.
There that lazy man eating the carrots. Tell him don't eat the carrots need it for compost and sheep. He eats all the carrots then I shoot in with the bow and arrow.

I have made a new town a few times. Mostly from a big cities that was being greffed to hell.
Start as a girl. when you are young pack a horse with all you need:

3x Bowl in a basket,

fire-bow, snare, thread-and-needle, all in a basket,

an ax.

The last slot is very optional like hoe or basket with more stuff.
backpack helps a lot with food.

As soon as you can get on that horse keep moving till you find a good spot.
You can move 1 to 2 K away from the city via horse compare if you left younger by foot is only 500 to 1K away.
(I have try both ways and the horse give you a better start)
You will have to get far enough away from the old town to have fresh resources for your new town. also far enough so people just don't run back to the old town right away.

Unlike an eve start you have to start the farming right away. It a much faster build up than an eve start. Its kinda working backward on the build order but food for kids is the most impotent step. Tell your kids what is up and give them jobs to do, things will be moving very fast once kids are working. The idea is so you can have sheep and compost up and running before you die.

Traveling with people suck, slow, people get lost, and people will die.
Just with only two people is a pain. They bounce around the screen and lag where they are at times.
The best thing I have seen is let the mom raise the kid to the age of 3 then drop it off at some food and dip out. Best the kid makes a town, worst the kid dies. if the kid travel with you they will just die or get lost but mostly just die.

Hay, that Is I in the first picture. I'm the old lady looking at the radios trying to figure out how to use them.

From what I can figure out is the radio is operated by removing and adding the battery to make the light go on or off.

It could be built as a cluster environment where multiple servers for the database and end-user nodes But, (and this is a big but) the technical work to do this and the environment cost will go though the roof.  So to keep the game simple enough for one man dev team the current setup is the best option.

It would be nice if the server is going down you could get like a portal to be transfer to another server so the lineage can live on.

So was playing in a town and a greffer show up and stated killing everyone and thing.  No one could stop her as she just dose a little dance and cant be killed. She single handy just killed ten people and we couldn't do anything about it. we where also arm to the teeth and still could stop her, just cures her and watch her keep killing.

So what is that dam dance that they do to keep them from being killed?

Look everyone was new at this game at one point or another. New players usually just die off young anyways, so if you are still in that unstably time in the town give them a job out side of town with a food source like hunting rabbits or getting rope in a filed of ropes or oak logs and berries.
Show them what to do and then let them do what they do.  they die off or put in the work to come to town.

Once composting is in place show them how to do it. Putting berries in a bow and farming the bushes is the first of many steps to keep the town running. If I'm smiting I have them watch.

Some times it doesn't really matter if they are new like if i'm out getting iron ill stop and let them grow up, If i'm close to town ill drop them off, If i'm far ill find them a good food source and drop them off. kids get there mothers home marker so they can figure it out.

The point is don't be a dick to the kid if they are new, its a wast of a kid. The only time it is ok to kill a kid is when they make mean faces and words, I drop those little shits off in the woods to die. ( no need to raise a greffer)

Sacrifices of babies, well the babies sacrifices them selfs now. no need to do anything, they die in your arms or just run off into something that would kill them fast.

More ways to compost or just get those sweet deep tiled rows. and a way to watering them.

a tractor

A table would be nice

Clothes that are not a death trap.

More things that can burn in fire. ( surrounded by wood and can't keep the fire going )

Fire pit for cooking, maybe make it to it can be upgraded to cook food with gas.

wall paintings/bill board

a map

lake / rivers

leather

make all the meat eatable

flint and steel for fire

better backpacks

Cotten t-shirt and jeans would be nice. make them whatever color. that would be good.

All the clothes are winter and death traps with the mosquitoes.

Being able to make more kinds of backpacks form other hides would also be nice. (Cows and pigs are a complete mess no steaks/ribs, leather, shit)

That pen is a big waste of wood and time.

Not all four corners need to be open, I like to make only 2 openings in sheep pens. It helps to keep an eye on ppl going in and out.

I like to leave one or two Domestic Mouflon outside of town due to they don't eat carrots, keep making new sheep, and are overlooked by most people. Then killing all the sheep is not that big of a deal if you have 2 Domestic Mouflon running around.

just don't use doors, they are useless.

detail info about item like despawn time, pickup age.

Raw mentally list would be nice.

Have like a dashed box for optional items like needle and thread ( where there are many ways of getting it)

If someone is hogging all the knives my favorite game to play is to tell them what to do with the knife. till they get sick of it and just give me one. 

Hay you have a lot of knives, I need you to cut sheep, bread, oh yeah I'm also making rubber for pumps. So chop chop get to work.

If I have more than one Knife then I play the game of let's see who is not a noob and could need a knife.

Also I try to not have a knife on me when I try to go get iron

Also before you make more knifes check aroun the town limits, ppl thend to go out there and die with full packs that inclulds knifes.

With eve camps put the kiln next to or near water. later when the city grows then it can be used for charcoal making for the pumps.

There is no reason to make closing chest over a box.

The space behind the kiln is for the Adobe.

Need 3 type stacks going: iron, wort iron, and steel

Need a machine shop nearby also I like to put an oven in the machine shop to make rubber.

3/5 this was an ok setup before the machining update, now it to cramp and hard to expand

Knives are tools like anything other tools. you can't always track them all the time and got to have some trust with other people. If you have more than one knife try to give it to someone that will use it for good. Dying with a pack full of knives is bad and that no way to hand them out.  also, Griefers don't usually use knives for many reasons so they are not that much of an issue.

walking around town with a loaded bow and arrow now that is trouble.

As the game continuous development, it will take more and more gen to complete tech tree. so an extra life for living to old age as an eve is relay no big deal. If anything it gives the town a better chance of becoming stable and surviving to bell.  Even if the same eve lives 4 lives back to back in the same town, there is no guarantee that the town will make it to bell and within a week the town will be lost forever on the server.

For a "civilization building" game Development has been mostly focused on keeping civilization from being built.

There are two kid of rewards in the game build a town to get tech or destroying towns due to boredom
