Jason wanted people stop to farm carrots, now we farm carrots and berries even more.
He wants us to cook rabbits tbh
What does going on the forums have to do with being a productive player? Lol
Can't stress enough how much more I enjoy this game when there is non of this "running back to a town that I was in two lives ago" bullshit.
The point of a game is to get from zero-tech to end game tech in one family line.
atm after the resets, I have had so much fun trying to keep my families alive while trying to advance the tech tree
I totally agree and am having alot more fun with spawning miles into new lands and trying again. its so satisfying when your family is making tools or clothes, even buildings.
I hated the fact that lands were just filled with advanced towns everywhere and there was no point in playing, now every time I play its a real challenge, and feels alot more like the game Jason wants it to be.
Yes you can still find old towns, but you really do have to prepare for the journey.
and tbh, dying is pretty much an apocalypse just for you/family.
So I'm assuming after the update, if an Eve finds your village, you'll be killing them?
Yep, I'm experiencing the bad lag as well. Probably just some bug
Thank you Jason!
Berry farms are stronk
I understand about the updates, the maps that people created are kind of useless now. I suppose people can try rebuilding where cities once were? But the coordinates for this are still pretty helpful! Thanks.
Yes, we'll advance to the space age, with no oceans or rivers. Plausible.
If you're a troll, this is the game for you.
If you're not, have fun being troll food.
Yep i'm not playing anymore
I want to admit
I let 4 kids starve tonight. Otherwise, I almost always take care of my kids, even if I'm with a cart gathering in the wilderness.
However, I had some things I wanted to take care of and I definitely would not have been able to if I ran back four times. I probably would have been old and about to die by the time I gathered one cart's worth of resources.
Server 3 is nice a built up but every single time I'm born there I am murdered, witness a murder, or have to participate in killing someone. Not the most peaceful place, by far.

I love the idea (not mine) of the worst murderers having to spend five hours of wall-clock time as a carrot plant ^_^
But for the most part it would just shift murderers into other forms of griefing that are harder to detect programmatically...
Then the game is inherently broken and gives griefers the advantage. If it really turns into that case, I would request a refund. Why play a game made for trolls if I'm not a troll?
Eccola wrote:There was not a single bow and arrows or knife anywhere. You don't think, if I had some, I would not kill him? After a while I resigned and disconnected anyways, it was no fun playing anymore.
There were no guards, mostly mothers with kids, struggling to be fed, when carrot farm went to hell without water. So basically - you had bad society without proper tools (bow and knife are tools as well and are needed in cases just like that).
Also, your society was way to preocupies with themselves just to make sure everyone else is safe from griefers.
Seeing that you did just what they did instead of filling the blanks and protecting them as guard youself.Yup. Nice. You all deserved to die.
Wow, this game really brings out the best in people. I'm sure you're just a delight in person.
This stuff is game breaking but I guess existence is broken in the first place?
There should be a way. Karma dictates how you are reincarnated, so it is said. Those logging in with their game keys should be marked as consistent murderers and you should not be able to kill people at all with a temp-login.
I didn't know this. Thanks for helping! Little things like this can make the game a lot less stressful.
I think they are the same like the watchpeople. Having a weapon threatening through there existens and no real contribution to society. Mostly like in reality. Actually i never expierenced a situation where this kind of players helped to avoid any griefing. They only react sometimes after a griefing.
They are even worse then the "organizer" running around yelling that others should do something instead of grabbing a pouch and water the bushes themself which would be much faster. And if they just think ur a griefer they just kill u and no one dares to question there authority to do so.
Hmmm, any realation to reality? Most of u guys come from the us, dont u? But actually in my country its not so different.
No respect for authorities...
still a youngster in this point
Wow you must have figured life out. How stupid we all are. Please, enlighten us with your knowledge of the ancient lands outside of the USA.
Last time I was in a civ, we had bows, knives, arrows, just lying about. I felt safe, at first.
Then one knife went missing. Then both. Then the bows and arrows.
Then everyone died.
The murderer was given an arsenal.
NEVER leave knives lying around. Only give them to people you know are not griefers (adults doing jobs, helping out), once you're at an old age. Leaving weapons lying around gives any psychopath free reign to steal it all (wasting time and resources) and then kill everyone, generation after generation, because they hid the weapons in a spot only they know. LOL
Just murder their dumb asses. It's free clothes and frees your city up a person.
Traditionally farmland always surrounds a growing village. That is as much true today as it has always been. You need a lot of farmers to sustain a city to the size where professions can be maintained. A city needs farmers to support bakers, and bakers to support blacksmiths etc. It makes sense to send extra citizens off to become farmers.
What the game seriously needs is foresters. Without the ability to regrow wood/fire sources every city is ultimately doomed.
Given that an hour is 60 years that's plenty of time for a tree to regrow.“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.” - Greek Proverb
True. Maybe the ability for saplings to sprout, so if they appear in the city, where you don't want them, you can dig them out with a shovel.
What I have noticed, is that if I flash a knife occasionally, people don't f*** with me. Or if I have a bunch of bows and arrows around. You bet if I see anyone running around with a bow around me, I will be picking one up as well. Fight to survive!
Concerning the boom of players and overpopulation of built-up civs, I think it's a good idea to start thinking about building outposts nearby the major cities, so incase of overpopulation, there will be places they can help farm at and live comfortably.
Due to the close proximity, migration won't be difficult and trade of resources is possible. I know there are already outposts like this out there, but I was wondering what you guys thought. Should we expand cities or build new ones?
It doesn't affect me one way or another how you play the game
