Do we really need to have domestic boars both chasing and deadly?
A few comparisons with other deadly animals:
* wild boars flee
* wolves flee
* normal bears move randomly
* shot bears chase but walk slower
* pit bulls chase and are deadly but they get old after some moves
Domestic boars are essentially eternal budget pit bulls.

yeah, pitbulls even need to be hit to chase people
there was a bug where jason put the wild boars on chase and only noticed after a lot of people reporting that they die more often from boars than any other animal (and not just because the trees are higher)
and i guess he forgot domestic ones
when they put it in the sheep pen, kills most of people in the town

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.

Tonight, I stayed in a village because I saw a baby pig I could feed and cause a little havoc. It was quickly killed, and only one baby died. I then found a nearby town with few girls and settled there... I made compost, a carrot farm, a newcommen pump, and steel tools the village needed.... I had babies that continued the woven line, which otherwise would have died out..
The point is.. It was a small inconvenience.. So maybe stop whining?

Domestic wolves (semi-tame) have the same properties.
This is on purpose.
You are domesticating wild and dangerous animals. It's supposed to be dangerous work. They are especially dangerous because they are partially domesticated. The wild ones run away. The partially domestic ones kinda like you and follow you.
Getting hog cut is no joke. Just ask Old Yeller:

(Also, the amount of "real" animal interaction in that scene is jaw-dropping. That kind of scene would never be shot in a modern film.... wow).
Anyway, just wait until I add bear domestication!

The poles in ww2 had a tame bear that was in an artillery division. He actually got promoted to corporal, and carried ammo in the battle of monte cassino.
Wojtek was a good bear haha

I'm flying high. But the worst is never first, and there's a person that'll set you straight. Cancelling the force within my brain. For flying high. The simulator has been disengaged.

Then, could you maybe make them age like dogs? So they aren't eternally "semi domesticated". Or just turn them into wild after X moves or something.

A hog can easily tear off your arm and scuffle away with it. They are no joke.
Also you can kill semi-tame hogs with a bow, which you need to get one in the first place. The acquisition of a pig can be done easily and seasmlessly rather quickly away from town as to not endager anyone. Having extra death features is redundant imo, easpecialyl since there may be cases when you would want semi-tames around.

I'd love to see more object/animal interactions. Sheep are the only animal that can wreck havoc on farms but only destroy carrots.

What are you on about? Can be done easily and seamlessly away from town? I'm sure it can.
Didn't you get that the point is that this is being used for griefing? Can we at least make it so that this griefing has a time limit?

As I said, the griefing can be stopped instantly with a bow and arrow.
And that solution can be countered by hiding the bow and arrows before you release half a dozen piglets in the corner of a fenced town. Bonus points if you also block the gates or get up to further shenanigans while people are distracted trying to deal with the deadly pigs snd searching for supplies to mske a new bow.

If only pigs pooped instead of sheep...
