Updated with the long arc map
1. Cache isn't setup for quick updates, so it may not appear right away.
2. Based on code set up for the earlier duplicate seed event, it got processed as three arcs. I may merge them after conferring with Jason about the causes.
I'm also seeing that I really do need to process timed transitions, just for all the fences that probably decayed.

Holy crap! Can't wait to see this.
At relative's house, and their Safari apparently can't run onemap....
Will have access to Firefox tomorrow!

Actually I oopsed trying to force the cache and included a local testing change, which ended up referencing a non-existing file. The client-side rendering is painfully slow on my laptops Safari (and the rift box seems to be missing) but it works.

Not sure how it works, you can see some roads are missing (west, east, south) and so many bears lol
But it looks very cool anyways, impressive that you were able to do this.

That's the 3-way split I mentioned; some thing were put down in the early chunks. I probably need to combine them, but I want to to understand why those extra start time are there.
Also, what browser are you using? I've got a long list of browser specific css selectors, but I saw Safari wasn't doing the hard edges, and I see blurry biomes in your screenshot as well.

Time is now a linkable attribute, so if you copy a url someone following it should end up looking at a relevant map
As part of this server time UI has been redone as start+after instead of end-before.
The default view is end of the last arc, but the time is displayed to try and avoid confusing it with the current state of the world.
New option, currently under formatting, to fade out tall objects to peak behind them.
Updated rift history for removal.

Updated the recent arcs. Rather than open a bugfix branch, I did some server updates so I have a staging setup, and pushed out the current WIP.
When object placement data is available, you should be able to open the animated view in lower left, and then scrub or replay through the player map activity.
For instance, you can open up time, hit play, and watch the build-up around the tarr monument during the 8-day rift
I've poked the CDN a few times, but there could still be some local browser caching with old code or data if you've visited in the past day.

I've rewritten the time control mostly for internal purposes, but not yet done the UI I want. Speed is now set by a single value in the format sidebar.
There is now a family name legend when viewing live data, which is inspired particularly for arc replays. It is sorted from highest generation down.

Working it's way through the CDN sometime soon.
Life points are now square for male, circle for female and circle with dot for fertile female.
There is a new color scale for character age. Data selections (notably lineage selections) now set the time range to include death time. Looks like I neglected to mention that lineage selections are now in data layer where they can be time scrubbed and colored.
Playback framerate is now controllable in the sidebar format settings. Unlike the older version, it will not change the rate of time passage in the replay.

Notice: the last arc and another pair a bit earlier are currently corrupted, two arcs have been erroneously merged. I expect to be able to separate them later, but the biome seeds of the later arc in each set are likely lost.

The mashedup arcs have been unscrambled. Two biome seeds are missing and temporarily displayed as an arbitrary biome layout. I'll be able to make them properly blank with the next code update.

The map is now generating natural objects, including springs, rift, and tarr monument. This is kind of expensive, so it only kicks in at a certain view distance. Zoom level can be set in the sidebar format settings. (32 turns them off entirely)
There is an overlay for special placements (old oil, nosaj, tarr) I might remove this if the mechanic stops being used. For the last arc, you'll have to back the time up a little bit to see the oil wells - the map shows the end of the arc by default, but the data change was committed before that arc ended.

Further object updates are disabled for the time being. (Monuments and Lives continue daily updates as usual.) There should be daily updates in the future, but: it's broken, the easy fixes aren't good, and the past week of boundless world was sufficient to dissuade me from my plan up until that point.

could you trim down the map to the territory anyone been to? like 11k or something right now
also changing the default filters? like server and not arc?

Object placements online. Data updates will be on manual for a bit so I can verify things are running smoothly. Object updates are published daily, the exact time depends on the last server restart, and processing may lag a bit.
Seeds (biomes and natural objects) are still published after the world is over. You can now look at previous seeds from boundless world, but the current map is splotches of activity in a void.
I'm still working out sensible defaults and beginning work on better server support (e.g. map data is only available for bigserver2 since the rift)

Urls now include a server identifier. It's a bit of an internal id (BS2 is 17). Unfortunately, the main thing this gets is other servers show up blank since we have no data or seeds since random maps. At least the monuments are correct.

Crucible has been switched to clientside rendering of biomes, selectable in the same way as OHOL servers. This is a little awkward since they have no other data to display.
Two Hours One Life biome map is also available.
I've currently got them in the same server numbering system, so links to a particular map work. We'll see how the numbers hold up over time.

Thanks to a sleepless night, filtering of monuments to only visible monuments finally survived a staging check. Option under format to turn off.
This is only using seed change information at preset, so it mostly applies to bigserver2. Other servers will still respond to "not built yet" when viewing the past.

You may now plot only eves instead of all lives in the range.
When selecting a life from name search, it will also change the base map to the correct server.

Limited clientside object search - This uses the data already loaded into the map. Currently this only works with the static (not animated) snapshots (these are usually once a day). Area in the current map view; for static snapshots all objects are loaded and therefore searchable at zoom 24+, although only the larger objects are normally drawn.
This is currently an alternate sidebar, target icon. I'm not happy with the split sidebar design though, so I'll need to think about alternates and am open to suggestions.
Other new things mentioned elsewhere:
- biome band overlay
- biome band simulation. Currently implemented as a virtual "Band" server.
- dark mode theme; change back to light in the sidebar format tab.

Object search is a godsend. Griefers won't be able to ditch trucks out in the wilderness any more.
The map hasn't displayed well for me in the past though. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong, but only player objects showed up, never things like wild plants. Also, there was no biome tiles.

I think natural objects will work when the seed is known (this is never true for the current world) and natural objects are visible at your current zoom level (see format panel of object tab)
It doesn't currently work for natural object only maps because internally it is a different layer type and I haven't implemented search for it yet.
I also think I ran into a bug this morning where object search failed after doing some other stuff on the map.
