A way to put a fire out.

There is nothing worse than standing around say "fire is moving let this one go out" while people keep feeding the fire even if you hide all of the wood. Like it's beyond annoying.  Proposal: snuff a fire with a basket of dirt. It will smolder for about 1 min. and you could use a leaf to take fire off of it and light a fire in a new location on juniper bark to minimize any attempts at grieving.  Dirt can only be placed on the small fire in this way.

I was actually thinking of this a while a ago when Jason said that small fires were shortish in case you need coals. Having longer small fires would make keeping kids in eve camps a bit easier, and you would never have to sit around and wait for coals. I was thinking bowl of soil or water, but basket could be handy for early on.

I'd prefer a higher tech alternative to hot coals, maybe an iron stove or something.

It could also be the higher tech adobe oven, by having the oven under the stove.

we don't have any fire tech for us pyromaniacs

first of all we need a fire pit, with a few stones
similar to the bagasse and coal powder we could have something that sets off fires (bit harder to make it so they don't grief with it)
could be like wet leafs which turns the small fire into coals

Sulfur plus short shaft can make one/three matches, carry'em in either special box for them (oh-a trade item!) or basket. You'd scratch one against anything and it'd give you same as maple leaf if wanted, or turn into coal if dropped on bare ground ?

I mean, if we're supposed to do boring stuff like move water from ponds further away in the beginning, why not make this one easier. Does Jason have a trusted capable friend who is able to think of most trouble coming from changes like this ? Should have, found any in Patreon ? Also, I'll subscribe to Jason's patreon, please leave a link somewhere where even I can find it...
