The odd servers already have it. Even servers are getting it now.
If you /DIE repeatedly, you'll eventually cycle back through the available families instead of becoming an Eve
For example, yesterday on Bigserver2, there were 12,000 lives lived, and 1028 Eve lives.
On Sunday there were 1200 Eves.
We'll see if this helps with the Eve overload.
Next I'm working on gradual reclamation of abandoned land by nature.
I heard the bell ring yesterday, and it was 21K away. So we're still too far apart, and I want to fix that.

Thank you Jason! I hope you are able to find the right balance.

Hopefully this will somewhat fix eves just coming in and killing everyone.

Add books, please Jason.

Even though I haven't seen it, I don't like the resource crunch that people were talking about. That said, I don't like bell towns being 21k away. Oh, and I mean bell towns minus war swords. Plenty of players have said that belltowers basically aren't worth it anymore because of swords.

This is good, land reclamation seems absolutely dandy as well as a next milestone. People suggested some good variants along with your daily refresh checker. I wonder how that'll go together.
Will you show the change in eve count later?

That doesn't sound right.
Oh wait, I heard people talking about getting in spawned in donkey town, just like they were getting spawned in tutorial. It even looks like there is a "double donkey town" to prove its not just a whole lot of donkeys.
Though it does look like the main spawn area could be pushing around 15k at the extremes.
(oops, looks like I left the graph on death coords. Not terribly different, a few less outliers and less even spread in donkey town)

Yeah, looks like some Eves are spawning near D-town. Can fix that.
So someone built a town out there, and that's why it was 20K tiles away.

@jasonrohrer You can still force eve by doing /die before mother picks you, it doesn't reset birth cooldown

True Dodge. I'll fix that.
But I don't think it's quite as urgent as the fix I forced live today.
Also fixed so that non-Donkey Eves don't spawn near d-town.
