Yes, I've said similar things to this in the past. There needs to be more variation between the biome--not just what occurs naturally there and how hot the biome is, but what you can (and can't) actually do there. To me it seems absurd to grow carrots in the arctic (not that anyone does currently) or berries in the desert, but beans, corn, and (eventually?) chiles should *thrive* in hotter climates. If you wanna build your town in a desert biome so everyone stays warmer? That's great, but you can't base your food on berries or carrots.
Or maybe just make things more expensive to grow in different biomes. Maybe growing berries in the desert is technically possible, but it'll cost you 2x water. Climate largely dictates cuisine IRL anyhow--why not mirror that?
That is something I thought interesting, mono diet shouldn't be about stats or how many thing you eat, it should be more instinctive : Depending of the biome you live in, foods grow differently. Population didn't choose to eat carrots or berry or corn, they had to because that had nothing else.
But for that Jason needs make biomes way way larger. People will have to adapt where they live and they will need items that comes from far away. As some vegetables don't grow in their lands, they will need the help of other population.
The other problem is basic ressource that we need to start settlements that only can be found in grassland. Straight & curve branches and threads. There should be subtitutes of them.
Eating well made food, end tech food can make you speak more than your letter limit. Innovation comes with mind, mind can't do much if limited.

I rather murderers than griefers that can't be counter. Why do people grief less and kill more ? Is that betger.

Yeah I used to the same, it is pretty fun, and when everyone in your village start praising your cult, you start rituals ^^
The first civilisation, sumerians, died because they exploited too much their lands and earth became salty.
I do work hard in cities, but I destroy sometimes crappy early settlements. I feel like murder spree are unstoppable there because of the lack of weapons. My kids cann't even feed themselves, why should i keep them ? Game feels super repetitive at early game.
I mean, game is now limited to food making mainly. Except farming there is nothing special to do. There are no more legacy that lasts more than one day, because of decay or because players all die young and end the family.
Helping people feel like a waste of time because family always end up the same. There are no others villages around to do things with, and this game isn't about roleplay. I can understand people killing because that is realplay, no roleplay intended, just normal human behaviour, it makes killing the only enjoyable thing.
Is there any more information ? Everyone does it or is it specificly few people doing murders ? Have they a schedule, does it happens more from europe or america ?
Maybe that just the last box lasts always long. The same duration time as it was in the perfect heat. So the guy knows he wont die randomly.

About a week ago I played my first game of One Hour One Life where I died of old age. It was also the strangest game of One Hour One Life I've played yet. I was born to a mother named Jessica who was holding a knife and the entire town was murdered. My uncle, Jess came back and asked what had happened. She responded, "Murder." Then he said, "You look pretty suspicious," before murdering my mom. My Uncle Jess then raised me before I gave birth to multiple kids, all of whom were really sweet. We kind of rebirthed the town together, and I feel attached to them. I'm not sure if I remember all of your names, but I tend to use names like Kaylee and Peter. If this story sounds familiar to you, please hit me up! I want to see how the town did after I passed. Were you able to rebuild again? At least for a little while?
That is a fun story, this remind me an old story of mine. I was on the other side of the mirror long time ago, before the lineage trees, before the decay, before... apocalypses. My story is from forgotten times for many of you, where it was different :
I was a male in a huge city, with walls, floors, with inner houses, farms delimited by fences, bear skins corvering all the interior of houses, two or three fires were burning. We had a huge stock of carts full of baskets full of food. I was a sweet boy, but then stocks went really low. In the food houses, many of the food carts were empty. I became hardcore and I started to kill all males I dont remember why. Maybe starvation, maybe just fascism. It turned into a huge massacre. Everybody died except a little girl that was left, I took care of her like she was mine.
Years later, nobody we knew city came back, but a mysterious crowned man on a horse came and said he was a king, there was a village at the end of the road and that we all were his subjects. What a fool. He left and said he was bringing some weapons to attack the place he was bannish of. We prepare an ambush but he never came back for some reason, maybe starvation, maybe fascism.
We packed food and then left. Following the road, we didn't know where we were even going. We had to choose right or left many times. The roads were so long, only a mad man could have made them. I died of old age on the road.
I sometimes still wonder what happened to her. I'm sure she had a great life.

It could save lifes and gives people less the feeling of panic that this view gives you everytime you play.
I really would like to be able to keep forging my knives to give them other proprieties such as :
- Making my blade thinner so the people I stab bleed longer and have more time to talk. Explaining why and stuff.
- Having sword that exacly work as knife, it is just more spottable in backpack, and people will reserve this wep for kings and queens.
- Halbard, take two squares, kill faster than knife, you can kill bears with it.
- Training knife, doesn't kill but if you success you subbish a shorter killing cooldown, the stabbed shout, nothing else. I rather see people playing with safe knives than real knives.
Having more weapon is great I think, they have their places.
I think compost should be easier to do and by different crafts. It's cool to have more plants but compost is the problem in all that. Different ways to make compost could make different kind of gameplay in villages

breezeknight, I think you're attacking a strawman. I haven't mentioned morality at all.
Humanity is supposed to simulate human empathy that makes one feel bad about killing someone or having a social fight with someone, regardless of morality or consequences.
Humanity is generated by all elderly people, so it helps the party that has more people that live to old age.
It induces morality on what should be done and not done such as killing. Is strawman the new trending word ?
Raiding isn't griefing and there are no more raiding (removed)if anything that is harmful to players is griefing we are in troubles.
Reaching is almost impossible for most of people, imagine giving them humanity with what ? Thumbs up or "good boy" ? Ewww
Then giving humanity would even harder because you need choose people that wont die young, almost impossible when most of people die. And who says they wont suicide right after recieving humanity ? Which guys deverse humanity ? Because I know they will give it to some random pricks.
I find this humanity thing a bit complicated and it limits the gameplay quit much, I am not really enthusiate about this suggestion. I don't think it has his place in this game.
Just look at scr0p, he learned how to deal with problems and now he oftenly kills griefers and murderers.

I just readed scr0p post about murderers behind trees,as far as I remember, it isn't possible to kill the one hidding behind the trees. You can kill many people without problem if you are fast enough
Griefers can't be detected as they don't kill and aren't under cooldown.
I do think we will need to be able to aim at those kind of people, but :

Again. Another griefer. Is is normal to have griefer in 2 out of 3 games??? It's like I have at least two griefers per day, every single day recently. This one stood behind tree and killed 2 ppl with a bow. Can you hit him? Hopefully he started running and starved himself when I went after him with knife.
So sad you meet so many of them, I didn't meet one since a moment. It isn't normal, maybe you play at the same time he plays.
You can put things behind every trees, even the biggers, you just need to aim the 2 pixels that can make you reach the hidden tile behind trees. I usually make enough weapons so I can put them all over the floor for everyone, I don't have to hide them but if I have to hide it, I usually put them nearby. If the tree is too open it is not really hidden, so I don't put arrow and bow together but if it is hidden, I put them both at the same place.
Pillars can hide knifes and arrows too. If you are in a big city, there are oftenly many hidden weapons around.
I manage to kill five people just by hidding behind trees, I find them utterly OP, you can hide behind every of them when you subbish the killing cool down. But griefers usually don't do that. I never tried killing somebody behind the tree, so I don't know if it is possible. I have been on the other side and it is deadly.
For the gooses, be sure to have enough stuff to defend, if not It can be the griefer's idea to kill all gooses so you can't make weapons to defend.
Towns are really something, if we had more cities we would have more players playing the game, sadly small settlements are always the same so it gets pretty annoying rebuilding everything, I sometimes help these places but i don't get as much pleasure as when I work on different jobs in cities.

Medecin can be good, that is a viable suggestion. It is more about gameplay preferences. I really like that when somebody get stab he goes crazy, It would make me sad see on most lineage trees ''GET THE MEDECINE QUICK''
I choose the most working and dedicated child, all people having interest on me just want to profite of me. People doing not enough and following you are the ones that wait for you to die, stab them if you are suspicious.
If 7/8 babies survive you will have more chance to not get the griefer that if you keep all babies.
The best way go prevent murder is to equip everyone with backpack and knife. Players get better everyday and when they can do something they can react fast enough
