Yeah... this was my favorite game when it first came out, even way back before it was on Steam. I didn't get it right away 'cause broke but I'm pretty sure I've obsessively watched every youtube video about it I can get my hands on. I still watch, but I no longer play. I mainly just watch hoping that someday it'll be a game I want to play again.

I loooooooved that it really felt as random as real life. You never know where/who you are going to be. The big map was amazing. It made stumbling upon old stuff really special. Some people like the big cities, some people like early play, and some people like Eve (or rotate through all). It was random enough that I'd be born in a massive city and another life be bare bones. That was what was exciting. It's like 'sometimes you're born rich'. Now it's just like... bleh. If you can't play all day every day you're going to miss out on the slimmest chances you get to not be the same old thing every time. I'm also a person that doesn't like to be an Eve, but I still tried every time when I was one because that was the dice roll.

I like the option of people getting reborn to the same place if they live to 60. And if they don't want to be there again, that's why they have /die.

There are way too many children/people being spawned in to one tiny area. I had 12 children in one 'life time' and didn't even get to live to old age. Food goes by much too quickly because of this (and yes, I'm aware you maybe shouldn't let all children live. But 12 in just a few years is way too much). You can't even keep up with making clothing because they run off to try and help and die too young. And on top of it, there is a massive influx of griefers for whatever reason. I usually sit down and play a few games a week and every life I tried to play for the past several hours has ended with murder or starvation.

Not sure what happened, but it's not even enjoyable in the least bit. And I usually can make do with whatever updates happen. This is just bad.

yikes I have leveled up in computer knowledge today, haha.
Thanks guys!

Oh I didn't realize I had to go back out and click the original game file. I did that, and it opened, yay! Thanks!

But now I have a new problem (I didn't refresh and see you replied - shitty internet lol). The game is clipped, like I can't see the directios in the tutorial, they are off screen. It normally doesn't do this, I've played the original version with no issues.
[edit] WAIT I THINK I GOT IT I had to keep that black window open.

Hahaha, omg thanks for helping an old man figure out how to computer!!!

Oh my GOSH i'm going to try this. My internet connection is so shoddy in my house I literally get kicked off like four times a minute. Makes it near impossible to play and I'm super sad about it because I love this game so much. Thanks for the directions.

Okay after having tried it, I seem to get stuck. I downloaded, extracted, ran as administrator, but the game is clipped and I can't see the entire screen. I'm super not tech savvy lol.

I don't remember if it was one I saw or one I played 'cause my memory sucks, but an Eve spawn had another player come up and say 'Do you need an exterminator?' ??? So confusing, but they cut down the tree, came inside, and killed all of the snakes. Then they just left, LOL. 'Your snake problem is taken care of, have a nice day!'

I died.

I was in that town! Before the apocalypse towers were inside of buildings at least. But there was still the mass in the back of the city. I didn't really want to play there so I was totally useless that life, but decided to be humorous (and maybe slightly useful in a morbid way?). I spent my entire life as soon as I was old enough to carry a cart collecting dead bodies and running through town saying 'Bring out your dead!'. I put them all behind the towers. Mass graveyard, but at least I kind of picked up the city, yanno?
It was funny 'cause one person caught on and answered me with 'Hello there citizen'. Hahahahaha.

LOL omg, no kidding with this bug it takes freaking forever to get anything made, that's why my entire family didn't even bother, hahaha. I'm honestly surprised you got that far with boots and aprons.

Hahaha yess!!!

Oh, and turns out my family made it thirteen generations of fat and happy when I got up this morning. Victory!

I open my eyes, given a chance at life. This life though, is cursed. I am born, and in total, eventually grow to have eighteen siblings. How, especially when we do nothing? We must be blessed. Throughout my years, I quickly realize that the gods must be unhappy with our offerings. We have not built enough altars to appease them anymore. They take away our things, every time we set them down. But they are giving us another chance, as they have also gifted us with unlimited food. My family grows close. So many of us! Laughing and eating. Our family motto becomes fat and happy. We are mighty and humorous. We cannot die! My children and my children's children return over and over again to hear the tales of how we came to live this one life. Passed down throughout generations. I bravely poke bears with no fear. At least six roam alongside us, but we are not afraid, for they retreat! Boars freeze in their tracks. But we also cannot enjoy the spoils of crafting, so we learn to just live with one another without the stresses of survival. And as it started coming to a fruitful end, my dying wish was to have a child named after me. And thus I witnessed the birth of Aloni May the II'd.

A great life it was.
Aloni May

(The update must have bugged the game, but I had surprisingly SO much fun doing absolutely nothing. It was a nice break in between the hectic bustle it usually is. I was 1 of 18, and my lineage somehow made it to eight generations. Sound off if you amazingly happened to be a May.)

Omigosh yes, a full fur set should definitely keep you way warmer than it does.

I think that the snow and mountain biomes should be cold, the grass and plains mid temp, and desert and rain forest hot.

... also if I could wear a leaf I'd be seriously excited.

Oh, you're right, lol. I got the download link from an update email but seem to have missed the very obvious key at the top.
Thank you.

I did search for emails from his name, can't find it even though I know I kept that one and my forum log in info. Tech just hates me today clearly haha.

My old computer kicked the bucket and I had to get a new one. I've already installed the game, but I can't seem to find the email with my log in information in it. Is there a way to contact Jason/have it resent to me? I see no form of contact on the website.
Thanks.

Just wanted to throw out some ideas for better storage options. Every place I play at is overrun with little things everywhere, especially when you're walking and accidentally click on an item to pick it and then you're stuck throwing the thing down you didn't actually want to separate.

May I suggest these items to become stackable:
-carrots
-corn
-sharp stones
-plates
-eggs

And all seeds being able to put into/add to a single bowl? This would also help the itty bitty dots getting lost on a panel.

Maybe the cactus fruit as well, like the beans. Also something with all of the threshed wheat piles, they're everywhere, LOL!
