I was born next to my favorite size berry farm 3x3. Seeing that it was depleted and the town was dying as a male i knew what i must do.
One row of wheat stood near by and one lone carrot seed set in sight.
Once i was big enough i revived the bushes and started a carrot and a wheat. Made a compost pile out of the standing one with poop from the sheep pen amd i was off.
For 60 min i rinced and repeated these actions. The only one to notice was my sister who wanted to learn and a rather odd child who said he was the watcher.
A small child ran by and traded me a gold crown for a carrot. I placed it on my head and declared "i am the king of soil!"
Not missing a beat i went back to work and made mounds of compost and piles of soil. As i grew old i ensured that everything was ready for the next king of soil with some un watered wheat carrots poop ans mashed berries and carrot bowls and a bucket of water.
I then passed on my crown to the pie maker Stella, walking through town i see that my soil had revived the crops and brought new life to dry desolate areas that were unused before.
Returning to my little life in the big town i died where i was born as the King of soil.

I mean these are the basics I've retained from playing previous to the updates. I'm a decently capable player, and can definitely do more than this as an Eve to get my kids started in a good direction.
Someone posted recently that instead of mega-sized berry farms, an Eve we should strive to start several smaller berry patches around camp. This may or may not be a good idea, but that aside I'm looking for these kinds of tips.
For instance, should I strive to start a farm with varied crops? Which ones? Which order is most efficient?
How early is too early to start a sheep pen? Some players, such as pein, think this is essential. Others disagree.
I'm not daunted by the task. I've gotten to forged tools as an Eve a few times. However, I really enjoy exploring and experimenting with other players' strategies.
The small berries was me. Although morti has a sweet town setup guide.
As Eve Storm i first find a location with soil water berries and other food. Close to good temp land as i can find.
Get kiln make bowls and plates. If enough eggs make omlets. Get berry farm going. Then carrots. By this point between running and having kids its time for them to start taking over. Task direction is the name of the game.
You farm, you fire, you forge, you hunt i tell my kids. This allows me to pick up any slack and teach along the way.
It really is all about giving the kids a job, the ones that cant figure it out die and the ones that dont want to help run away.
If soil is depleting fast then its time for a pin. If you have berries and carrots and weat you are doing good at an eve farm. Have a kid make pies. Easy to make early game and allows for expansion of the farm and forageing without eating to many resources. Stew is the best down home meal. Makes a lot of food but you need a solid base for any eve foundation to move up the ranks.
And dont send the only daughter to kill a pig or rangle a snake!

As someone who has been your child more than once, thank you. The benefit of keeping all kids is clear when you consider the benefit that experienced players bring to the growth of the settlement, and the chance to learn you are offering new players and the benefit that brings to the entire game's community, as they learn more and more with each life they get to live.
I figure with the mortality rate i almost have to keep all my kids. But if i could increase my Morti rate, What a world we would have!
I have been trying to get people to plant plots of 3x3 spread out around the town insted of huge clusters. It only works to start that as an eve. Endless fields of berries help no one. Needs to be more small plots spread so we can make pens and such around them.

Well if i had know that as an eve i would never had started to use the name storm. Sorry to see the town die as we worked hard to find that spot. I started with a really bad spawn.
Im still going to use the name storm feom now on so you all know it is me. I think storm lends to a lot of fun names. Winter summer fall fire sun river ect. I had a great bunch of kids and we had a great farm. Love being an eve with good kids makes all the world when following mortis plan. It really is a good one for growing towns.
I hope to start the Storm family beck up soon. Maybe one day we will break 70 gen. Thats the goal now. Thanks for a great run kids. Love you all!
Well until we had a rash of killings the last storm family had a sweet spot that i found after the previous family had died off. After 60 gen the place looked great but no one was maintaining the compost and that is what killed it. Roads farms and buildings. And a sister town to the east. Maybe we will see that again some day.
I think 2 hours should be a max. If it even ever gets considered.

Must have been a military doc. They are always trying to cut something out for no reason.
When im out and about i make arrows pointing to town out of sticks and rocks so that others may find them.
I have perposed the holes or filled holes not sure if that keeps them in. And does the mutton thing work now because i thought that was a great idea the first time it was proposed? Once you have a shovel you should be able to send a kid to do the task.
Finaly i kan kill those bitchy kids.
Is it a right click with a knife or a left click? Same with a bow? Only ever killed one player. Not sure im doing it right.

Ty family if you were out there. This was a fun challenging game. To bad it ended the way it did.
I really need to print a list of names and start using them. Bob is one i use quite a bit because it is short and a boys name. Although i was not part of these familys and i always try and take care of my children.
Although if you come into the game demanding stuff i am less likely to work and try and get you things. Demanding a crown or a backpack is not the way to go. I normaly give them to the child that is helping the vilage the most at the time. Not always the best solution, but it seems to be an ok call most the time. If you dont work you dont get rewords in my real house so why should my pixel family be treated any different.
Everyone has a job, so do your best at it.
