Was there in original Ore city when we had no bell tower and roads, due to it's position it was central to the other cities
the updates kinda killed it but was repopulated and Maria family (brown) made 2 bells, so if you see 2 close bells then it's this town
In the latest days is very ugly, it had fences, people ripped up my floors and was a mess
early days photo
Now it's a tiny bit better but looted out, has the most bear skins on it
There is a town up left, with direct road to it, Prince town
Has a few horses, they looted bell city and has some unfinished buildings
There is a bell tower from dec 9 Negam/Boots (first boots), never been there
The road goes 650 tiles, then is scattered, people either went to Hot town, or to Red cow city so there is a lot of clothes on the way
Hot town was originally made by the Hot family (black), they had 16 girls at a point
Didn't change much since, it's messed up and a lot of trees are cut
finally we emptied out the Newcomen and installed the engine
made a lot of rubber in previous life, then I collected straight shafts, firewood and kindling
Thanks for Eve Navia for saving me from the knife hoarder chick and the white lady who ran the Newcomen, I was mass burning the kindling to charcoal and made a lot of tanks
Has a long east-west road, connecting some small towns, they all died out
The end of road leads to the Oil spot, it's started but needs gingers to install the core
Has a 250 long road north, 150 more to connect to the north road system
Red cow city, my favorite. I made this cow pen and went back a lot here.
The update killed it but managed to get back as Omega Hot and started the Bell tower.
Later I got back a few more times, Once as Boots lady (2nd boots, gingers). My family finished the bell tower here and at Omega city. Similar to the Maria family, the Boots made their way into many cities, even to the furthest big city, AA camp (wasn't there but some people on discord liked it). Red Cow was the first with the engine well and had oil 120 above it, now is finished. I still try to keep it alive, it's a bit messed up, has no trees closeby, but is decently good looking, has some roads to east and north, but nothing fancy.
Audette camp is 2 rooms with an empty deep well, died out long ago, still some clothes there.
-50 400 above red cow.
The oldest maps and waystones are to Valley of the wind, not sure which town is that
The top road system is a bit clunky going up and down, has some parts missing, connects 3-4 decent camps, it has some markings to south side towns, no direct road to them
Castle family started out yesterday, I was at their eve camp, there was another pseudo eve camp 500 east. There is a lot of ice in between them and the whole area to hot town is blocked on all sides but east
There is even a new Outpost from the castles, nothing much, not even a sheep pen but most people are born there.
Some white family living in old castle town, they stole a lot of horses during the day
Has a small road west to an empty camp
Around 200 to the left the new Castle outpost.
Would make sense to build a NS road from castle town to the oil and EW toward AA city, but possibly we need some town on the same height as Ore city and Hot town (-360)
There is a big gap of like 700 nothingness between Ore city and the new bells, and kinda nothing to stay for
The current roads in black for the West region, and in yellow the possible good roads
Connecting Hot and Red Cow, then a NS road from the oil to other roads, maybe a road to AA town
The most ice is between Hot and the castle outposts, havent checked but probably can fit 2 new oil spots

good map.
i rarely venture THAT far south, but yeah, i was born in that soutthwest ccamp a few times.
metter make long zigzagging diuagonal roads, or make it like a feather.
but not many long parallel roads please.
I'm back and I spend almost all play time buiilding roads, mostly towards west or novel cities nead long roads
, or by placing way-stones alongside main roads.
families or cities may change or decay/relocate.
"map with charcoal marks" repediately copied onto "way stone"s are a more persistend location-name-giver.
this also keeps memories fresh, and over time 20-hundred far locales that is long abandoned are still a useful relative position, or at least a useful memory.
my fiirst "map with charcoal marks" marks a [far western and close to main road oil well] with "oil west lynn".

red cow has a complete road south then turns west, as a black male I straightened it out and lead it through the desert, there is mostly ice and desert under so It can't lead diagonal, there is only 150 tiles between what wasn't made, left a note so they continue it north, they made a quite long way
the oil road is mostly straight too
red cow is my favourite so it had extra help, that's why is more advanced than the others, but -360y seems to be the most common central area cause of the eve spawns are under and over it so naturally, everyone finds it
I know for a fact that a new town will be at -47000 -120 s probably the top road is better idea to straighten it out
the ice spots are between and people make roads sideways

yes, whhere the long straight west road ENDS , then 520 west and 120 south, THERE you find "ollmann" town. it lacks clay, and a tower, is a semi-ruined frontier outpaost stuffed with backpacks and tools.
what it ladcks, it makes up for in a large stack of backpacks, steel and a large libraty of blue papers, most of them also set in stone there.
"ollmann" is roughly 3rd largest family for the last 6 hours, occasionally largest family but never for too long. base idea is, motivate people to raise children and explore there, they may not stay in that place, as it lacks bell s and soil. Those then likely find some good place nearby, as this place is soon surrounded by smaller settlements..
