I'm going to use this opportunity to push out the reduced oil change.

The last arc ended from water shortage probably. there were only two livable cities and the one of two had no water, no engine, no oil.
I'm talking about late game when everything is done (engines, oil etc)
Current arc ended probably because the other wells got lost and everyone tried to survive at the same place (same two places)

One life I was the son of Michaela pseudo eve
all we had is a well, some carrot, a fence for the horse, one single maple tree which was cut
I and bro went out and return with 2 horses, bro was scavenging, I had 13 tool limit, so making tools was easy
eastside city was a mess, i made an engine there and took one oil tank from a central town, then made kero and used to mine iron
by the time I came back few hours later to Michaela camp, the nort east city stole all our tools and the engine, which wasn't obvious at first, they even had multiple tools but they scavenged every bucket so that ruined the camp.
I took back the engine, scavenged soil and branches as a male, planted 9 trees and made a pen, then went back next life.
I was part of each 3 families, but then the Merrows stuck there.
I really like pseudo eve runs, and i like making a small active, optimized city than living in the already made mess, too generic, boring, nothing to do.
I think good change is bad, cause people can't make new cities. So this 6 will limit just puts people to already made wells, and that's not a good mechanic.
I never even interacted with oil, I was running the town newcommen, made the cisterns, we had some partial roads to oil on middle and some people distributed oil
i never really stood in camps, it was a griefer fest in all other cities but the Michaela camp, but eventually even there turned into a shit show
I'm generally late from party and can't eve, but so far when I play my city is the most optimized for the late game.
I think that we need more sinks, one way would be planting more trees if we could use boards to make upgrades on fences into plank walls.
Now with tools is really hard to be at a city, have soil and water, tool slots and still be young enough to plant trees.
For me the worst mood killer is when they cut that few trees i plant for branches. I saw three types of players: roaming griefers, outpost makers, and people who stay in big cities doing boring stuff. I think people are bored of megacities and no goals. Water is not enough to make new camps, it's too much inside cities and locations are too repetitive without wells everything else is not viable. So i guess more water usage would be better than more water restrictions.

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.

It seems like there's currently no reason to survive as long as possible in the game... which is itself a huge problem.
I never cared about genetic fitness since it had no use. Now since it's actually worth having high genetic fitness I don't want to just die. Creating more things like this may encourage people to focus on surviving their life instead of giving up.

Dying before old age should be something more than "I died, no problem, it doesn't matter".

I mean if you have a low GF score you're sort of incentivized to suicide.
Want to make carts/buckets/flooring? Learn adze/axe/saw as a child then produce a bunch of butt logs, boards, and discs. Proceed to kill yourself and come back and skip having a bunch of useless skills your entire life. Better to waste a few minutes than to be stuck for an hour with skills you'll only use a few times.
