Error message "download latest version"

i am unable to play, i downloaded the most recent version available to download v217 but it wont download the update when i try to play instead it says to download the most recent version.
i cant get the game to work at all
any ideas of how to fix this?

Don't worry, it's not just your end. Pein complained in the discord he wasn't able to update either.

I just loaded my game up and got the same issue, just shows this

I'm sure Jason will fix it soon eventually.

happens on all clients and versions, nothing updates

edit: i guess he forgot data version change so it didn't update cause it was the same version number
i changed the number to a previous one and deleted cache but possibly was fixed before it
