It's a pain to refresh emotes.

For instance, sometimes I want to express sadness for longer than the default /sad duration. To do this, I have a choice between typing in /sad obsessively to keep it going, or letting my expression revert back to neutral before typing /sad again. Both options kind of spoil the mood for me when I'm trying to roleplay.

I've seen people use a mod to switch between emotes rapidly, which I'm assuming is done with hotkeys. I don't see myself using a modded client, but this kind of functionality in the base game would be cool. Alternatively, some way to set an emotion to default in place of the neutral expression would work.

Two cents.

Re: It's a pain to refresh emotes.

In hetuw, which is a modded client, you can have emotes on essentially forever. This is done by simply writing /sad for example when using the modded client. When you do this the emote will stay forever until you switch emotes.

For the time being, I think we have enough content.

Re: It's a pain to refresh emotes.

yeah the simplest is to switch to other emote than back

which people abuse to spam sounds
which wouldn't be possible if they type it in

actually it's another way to emote around, which is text expander
basically simulates typing
the game needs a 800 millisecond to 1 sec delay or sometimes will leave out text
works with main client, but better for awbz as it has a feature that when you start typing you don't need to press enter first, if you miss a letter is ok but if you miss an enter, it's bad
in hetuw doesn't work the best as it has shortcuts

i made a few macros for this game, gender base baby naming from personal list of names
long eve names
selecting kid names from list
singing song lyrics

some which i made but werent as useful: pre recorded advices, and task

it isn't a way to "cheat" cause most of game is situational
so you could technically macro a milkweed farm planting with soil pile and tools on specified relative position to you, but it needs a pre-setup and any surprise can ruin it (blocking tiles or ruining out of water/soil/seeds)

If you use your arrow keys and press up, it'll show you the last thing you wrote so thathat may help you have a shortcut!

Re: It's a pain to refresh emotes.

you can play the singleplayer platformer "celeste" in "assist mode", without using any of its cheats, like slower time, more airjumps, or invulnerability.

you can play an ohol modded client without using most of its functions, only for emote hotkeying.
