Re: Tips and tricks

Okay, so take a sharp stone in a basket to the trees, carve down three branches to curved and short shafts, leave the sharp stone, bring the three shafts back to the camp in the basket.  Got it.  Thanks.

Do yew shafts go in baskets, too?

I like to go by "Eve Scripps" and name my kids after medications smile

For water carrying, if you have backpack but no cart, carrying a water bag in your backpack to increase efficiency by ~25%.

Cactus fruit shoes mean you can carry another 20 food (2 x 10)

If new to an area, explore so that cactus will start fruiting and rabbits will start becoming family holes (takes about 30 minutes from when you first sight them in unexplored area).

Small patches of well located desert biome can be used in base design to provide an optimal temperature for congregating around and raising babies.

Never use sharp stone on wild carrot.

Never die on a farm plot when you have clothes on.

Edit: Thanks InSpace! Although, probably not the image you expected.

Re: Tips and tricks

few tips: you start picking up things at 8 food bar boxes

you can go with a basket of food to explore, try to make a home marker and move in a spiralic way outwards

ask family where things are like furs milkweed, snare, what they need

swamp biome contains the lakes, clay, reed, best place to setup farm, move the soil there after picking out carrots
try to find a horizontal desert, which is bugged into other biome, so small patches all around, this tend to be perfect temperature, if cant find, go under a desert, and build kilns on hot tiles, so you spend your smithing on perfect temp mostly
you still need small green biome, and big swamp

run on edges of biome to see what is the size of it, easier to imagine where you are in the world, a small biome lacks resources usually, they form a closed circle so if you run around it, you see most of it and you wont get lost

a desert biome with many cactuses can be also beneficial, place flatstones to signal the way 4- in a line signals way between cactus and city, if you can make entire roads, you cant die to snake or bear

green forest biome contains the food, best way to start game, but the only important thing for a camp is to have the trees close enough to make a fire later on, so you need to make your camp between desert and sswamp and green biome, close to a yellow one advantage, also iron isnt bad but easier to carry resources other than branches, avoid metal and desert if you can,  can be dangerous animals

you need to make a farm as soon as possible, this requires the ability to move water, so pouches or bowls are your options
to get a pouch, you need one rabbit, 2 milkweed stalk and to cook a rabbit on a fire
bowls are a bit more complicated as they need reed, clay to make a furnace, tongs made from a long straight shaft with a flint chip, clay and a stone, then fire and quick clicks to make at least 3 bowls and maybe 3 plates, one noozle, you can even make charcoal if you palce adobe after making this seven items, 9 can be done, more if others help

make new ones for oven and pie making, dont take it from smiths, dont leave the plates in wilderness

you need to keep this in mind when choosing location, reet renews each hour, clay is finite, buildings require both, close to  a mapple tree and a juniper to make fire is better, in the middle of the green biome you need a lot of time for each water run, also is colder than desert now , if someone dies, others cant even find water and start starving

might be a good ideea to build small outpost farms and leave it dry but prepare the water.

edited after updates temp changes, deserts become more viable

Re: Tips and tricks

if you want somebody to find you set up arrows made of milkweed seed or branches and milkweed seed. you need like 7-8 seeds to form a directional arrow, or 3 branches straight then some seeds to show direction. people can notice man made signs and follow it.

edit: make out of branches and flat stone

three can be possible, 4 cant really be natural, if you place a stone or flatstone at the end shows direction as a vector, soemtiems they come from side and cant decide

Milkweed seeds decay, so you can't do that.

LIES, THE SHEEP PEN DESIGN DOES NOT WORK

I will seriously start to delete """tips and tricks""" threads, if you are too lazy to test them.

Re: Tips and tricks

No, it doesn't work as: This works, because the sheep can only walk in one direction at a time.

Here is how you built it, they can pass out in one direction.

sRy1BvH.jpg
Here is how it is supposed to be built, as they can't walk out in one movement.

I have tested everything I post.

Nem probléma, it's easy to miss the detail.

decay after a while, but if you die as a male before anyone founds you wont matter anyway, its the fastest way and its useful if you would setup farm

as an eve stumbled into a road once and didnt knew left or right so that sux more

uou can do permanent one but takes lot of time

Re: Tips and tricks

make one corner filled thrash pit, use leafs to fill it, make other 3 normal pits, fill later with dead lamb, makes entrance and its useful to clean out
you can use natural blockign tiles like tule reed, pond or cactus, even a tree
you can use thrash pits as fence, or oven bases, peopel tend to open it by intent or by accident, make all horizontal fences corner fence and create separate horse fences
