Fortress 5.0

Seems like the best town so far is fortress 5.0

yesterday i played like 3 shorter lifes there

it's middle south west , we just made oil and kerosene, it was a bit decayed on pen and the walls were weird
but someone made engine and it seemed like it was doing well for a while

made a pen around the spring, then board roads around two 2x5 plots
then an oven under it, forge top right with boards under it

just checked in, helped a bit on oil, transporting stuff, but then the dickheads stole my horse
made some more boards all around and 2 extra cisterns, now it has 4 cisterns, planted trees, quite cool

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.

Re: Fortress 5.0

this place could need more bears but really, i could not care less.
because the game currently is the pathethic choice between either starving in a village, or getting randomly murdered outside of it at a young age (or randomly murdered within a city)

rift shows the game is bropken beyond repair.
rift was an attempt to find shortcomings in balancing/scarcity and there sure are just too many of those.
all it uncovers is that the balancing of ohol is more holes than chese.

Re: Fortress 5.0

Ollj, no place needs more bears. Bears are nothing more than either
1. a griefing tool
2. a useless thing you can hunt. You can't use the skins for anything but rugs, and you still can't use them for anything useful. You can't even butcher them!

LUL at could need more bears. That was good
But I've been thinking. If there wasn't near as much griefing, a lot of those problems would go away, even with the rift. Other than needing it to be a little easier to find iron and milkweed, you can survive, unless you get murdered. Towns could survive, if they didn't turn into cages due to fear of griefers. The environment would even replenish and flourish, if not for the griefing of specific items. Think about it. What's the root cause? I do root cause analysis for a living as a Quality Inspector. The common denominator in 99% of these cases is greifing.

Re: Fortress 5.0

If only we could eat bears, then bears wouldn't be so bad. Number of bear caves is probably also too high since the stone biome spawn chance was raised.

One bear cave per stone biome would be to many in my opinion. I wish to see jason change the bear cave spawn.

Or maybe just let us get reborn as bears.   They already own the map.

If you can't beat them, join them.

Re: Fortress 5.0

yes bearborn!

rift is removed, discordDome is publicDomain, and "joy" and "happy" family thrive there.
the place is renamed "griefer hq" only by a locked sign.
