I admit I’m not playing the game that much atm, but I do check the main page of the family browser quite often to check for new models. A thing I’ve noticed is the complete lack of ginger and black families that appear there. If I see a redhead or black character on there it’s usually an Eve or second gen children. I don’t think I’ve seen a ginger or black family making past gem 5 since the update.
Does the new male models have an influence on birth rates, since there are now more males than females for those races? Or is it just complete coincidence? Because I remember seeing much more frequent ginger and black families before the new characters were added.
For the time being, I think we have enough content.

Racisms, of sorts.
I lived a few lives as both, and people spent so much time goin on about how weird the models looked, they didn't get much accomplished.
Especially the ginger wolfman, and the bald, bigheaded blackman with the duck lips.
I mean really, does that come as a shock to anyone?
It's a big part of the anonymity.
It was a lot worse last year, with the first addition of the gingers and black folks, but that was when everyone was mixed with a tendency toward brown haired white skins and lightly tan skin with black hair, and even then people were killing each other over skin colors. Admittedly it was probably very few people, it's just, once you heard it in a life, you were almost guaranteed there was going to be a stabbing one way or another, and of course, people can't help but flock to stabbings, then of course they have to gossip about it for ten minutes afterwards and get next to nothing accomplished while they neglect their temps and eat the town into a death spiral.
Even the most innocent curiosity and conversations, about new looks, can lead to devastation, as iron, food, water and soil run dry.
Just us figuring things out through trial and error.
Lots and lots of errors.

griefers like to incite violence and the "ugly" or any sort of racism/segregation is always a great false flag red herring to incite violence or pretense for bloodlust
the violence mostly acts as distraction, and to make sure more people drop more knifes and clothes, and to make sure people can not curse the real griefer as easily.
jason proudly made a game where genocide is a fun way to get free cloth.
always murder your mother and all the elders in your family, to increase your gene score, and less likely be cursed by the longlived players.

This is a big part of it IMO. Previously those races had a 66% chance of babies being girls compared to 50% of the other families, which meant their towns lived longer and were more populated. Now that there's two new male models they have only a 40% chance of babies being girls, which means they die out much more quickly on average.

Jason has left the unbalanced skins in the game for half a year, it's farfetched that it'll get fixed.
Hey, anyone notice that he made all of the knitted wool, sheep, sheep babies, and everything about sheep within 3 hours? And now the most recent content is from 2 months ago?
You have now laid eyes upon the one and only Raidan Allcock on the leaderboards.

So birth chance is not based on gender but on the model? Then it’s understandable why they die out. That seems pretty unbalanced. Hopefully Jason adds the missing female models soon, so we can see ginger and black families flourish again.

In my experiences gingers tend to be disproportionately targeted by griefing, and more likely to be used as griefers.

Is this actually how it works? Each character model is an equal chance to be birthed? I always assumed it would be 50/50 male/female, and then the character model would be random from the available options.

yeah, i was the new model ginger boi, we had most tools, i made a small pen and when i just got the horse and tried to put on a saddle, i found out that the last girl was too old, we were at like 3-3 girls for most part and was going well then they died, honestly no clue why, most busting cities are white so far, and i seen creol oens too, there is less diversity and more girls somewhy
