Hey Jason, this is still an issue and I won't shut up.

Note: It has been confirmed that my griefing sister was Datruff.

Total lifetime curse threshold is still bad, to prove it I had to let my evil sister grief a town, because I can't do anything "bad" (kill griefers), oh no, I'll get send to donkey town then, and for five hours too! Killing others is griefing of course, and if you have over 50 curses you're literally a griefer. Doesn't matter how many hours you have, who cares?

Anyway, here's how it went:

I watched her eat only carrots, She even force-feed them to everyone. 6 stacks of carrots gone. And after I asked her not to do that she told me I'm a noob. I couldn't bring out my weapon in fear of three people cursing me.

I watched her let cows out, and kill all sheep. I told the other people but nobody believed me. (THIS happens often. Stop telling people to tell others because it does literally nothing, even if you show them proof they won't react at all.)

I watched her make 5 rods into swords, cart off pies, cart off meat, hide buckets of water. I kept trying to tell it to others, but nobody cared.

Then, After bringing sheep back - I saw her kill the mouflon and jump at the other sheep with a knife. I chased her out and she stabbed her daughter.

Finally I snapped, and guess what? I got two curses. For killing a griefer.
Imagine getting 7 curses for killing a griefer. This is what it feels like whenever you get cursed as a veteran with a low score.

One more, and I would be sent into donkey town.

But apparently, I deserve it. It's my fault I play a lot, of course! Even the mods agree with that.

I was very peaceful during that life, I reminded her to stop a total of FIVE times, before killing her. I know some people like to reply to my threads by saying "oh you're being violent" etc, but it's NOT true.

Here is the family tree, my sister was the griefer. http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=4431791

Also, A bonus: Tomorrow the data will come out. It's very possible that the griefer was DaTruf because of the things he has said on discord at that time. Hopefully tomorrow someone will contribute to this thread and find out smile

Makes sense that the person laughing at my idea of justice for veteran players actually benefits from the broken system. Of course.

It's on the list: http://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=6342

Though, I still have not ever gotten cursed when killing a griefer...

And did you curse them or get others to do the same?

Lucky you.

and she got only 1 curse, and that was after she stabbed her daughter. my son apologized for cursing me and tried to curse her but he already used up his token.

If theres ever a snow bank nearby when that happens just try to snowball them constantly. Eventually they will chase you because your annoying them. Have them chase you towards snow bank, disarm if needed with snow and stab. You should be far enough not to get any curse.

Provided the snow bank is far away enough
Also the first volley will attract bystanders who are potential crackheads who curse you for snowballing

Ive noticed that if you only snowball one particular person in a village and nobody else, they tend to not give a shit and let you do it to them. Start hitting everyone and thats when they break out the curses.

Also i have battled carrot griefer man before. If you make him run into the jungle with a cart full of stuff you win. They act like its impossible to go get it without getting stung.

carrot griefer man is very likely datruff, but we will see. Sadly there was no snow bank or jungle nearby, it was a green, desert, swamp town.

edit: I checked the family tree, theyre still going! so proud of them

Idk I've killed dozens of griefers, almost never get cursed for it, and have never gone to Donkey Town.

Re: Hey Jason, this is still an issue and I won't shut up.

A slow lifetime-curse-score decay would be nice.
Maybe 1 curse point every 5 hours of play time that you dident get cursed.
If you get cursed, the 5 hours reset.
This would not help people who grief often, but people who play a lot.

A game mechanic that punishes you for simply playing the game, is obviously not good.
The more a player plays the better he/she will be at the game, the better it is to have him/her in your village. (most of the time)

Please dont say "this doesnt effect me so it is not a problem"
You can get curses for silly reasons, or when you kill griefers.
The more you play, the more curses you will collect.

Re: Hey Jason, this is still an issue and I won't shut up.

My friend checked the user hashes, and it indeed was Datruff smile

not a big suprise really. just another exposing of him.

The only person making fun of my idea, is a griefer who benefits from the broken system. Funny.

This is only one of his accounts btw but for anyone who was wanting the proof to back up it was "good boi, dindu nuffin Datruf" here you are.

XfMIZMK.png

He has also been using my surname because he knows he'll get shot under any of his surnames. If you see me running around in game it's worth pinging me to confirm whether or not it's actually me. On the flip, you can probably try to kill me though that might backfire (didn't work so well for Datruf though lmao.)

fug it’s Tarr.

By killing a lot of people and pissing off other villagers across multiple lifetimes ... just like everyone else with a high curse score.

As far as I know, Hmrka had a habit of killing in the past, but they've come back to bite even though they've changed their playstyle to a more friendly one

Perhaps I have been acting more.. reckless when I was a noob? But I have never griefed nor destroyed a town, i've always tried to help people. Surely my score is under 100? I've been in donkey town only two times, if my lifetime total was high like, 200, I surely would have been more times.

I believe redemption should be possible. It's dumb that because of my past mistakes I can't help towns out now and have to watch them fall apart, unable to defend myself against griefers in my own family. Only way to wipe my curses currently is to buy a new account, and while that would be good for you Jason, I really don't have enough money to own alts like many people here do.

IMO the time in Donkeytown should be determined by (total curses) / (total playtime) rather than just total curses.

yes, this should be obvious for everyone

jason could even increase the punishment for griefing if the system would consider playtime aswell.
But right now the system is obviously flawed.

Never called you a griefer.   A bunch of Tarr's curses came from when he pissed people off while trying to trigger the apocolypse.   It sounds like you tend to rack up curses by hunting down possible griefers and killing them in the middle of town.   Some people accumulate a lot of curses by roleplaying heavily every life and annoying people.   Or by being a racist asshole.

You don't get an abnormally high amount of lifetime curses by accident.   You "earn" them through your past actions.

That being said, I do think that playtime should be taken into consideration in some way, so there is a chance to make up for past mistakes and redeem yourself.   And so that the curses don't pile up forever. But I don't think it should be easy or fast.   You SHOULD hesitate to kill a bunch of people or piss people off, life after life.   Otherwise, the whole system is pointless.

By hesitating you let people grief your town... but other than that I agree with what you're saying.

Playtime should be taken into consideration in some way.
