Can mods stop banning people for no valid reason?

These mods got people banned for doing bad stuff in the street. Then they banned people for saying trash about mods in street? Isn’t the street meant to be free ground. I just had someone tell me they got banned for swearing at mods in the street. Then CallMeAce was reported and banned of the whole discord for breaking the discord rules. Like Jason either you need to make these rules very clear or teach these mods to make the rules very clear. The other thing is that if mods don’t need to tell you why you were TIMED OUT or BANNED then how will you know what mistake you made. Like really Jason it’d bee nice if you moderated your mods a little bit more.

Why should you be allowed to be disrespectful to anyone on the discord anywhere? Its really not that hard to be kind to others. ( For most people at least)

Well on my other accounts most people I have seen being timed out were first attacked by the other person. If you post something and someone starts hating on it, then you reply to the hater and get time out. It’s basically an indication that mods favour the other person. Mods are only targeting people that don’t agree with them. If someone is a griefer and a another guy starts a fight with them then the griefer replies to that guy, the mods will just TO the grifters. It’s basically happened way to much.

Re: Can mods stop banning people for no valid reason?

Here are some quotes out of the rules section of the discord made by jason himself.

"My idea here generally is "as little moderation as possible"
And then, when it has to be done, "With as little drama as possible."
The mods are currently instructed to NOT explain a timeout
A TO is a slap on the wrist meant to simply end the current situation.  A de-escalation.
So they don't need to dig into a fight with you , or waste time warning you.  The TO is the warning.  It's up to you to figure out why."

"And of course, if you find yourself in TO over and over, you might start to suspect that more than one mod has become aware of your behavior, and that they've probably been wasting too much time on you.  That means that a ban is probably forthcoming, if you don't really adjust your course."

You also weren't banned for your behaviour in the street, but for the 3 time-outs you managed to get in 15min after already having collected 3 more over the last couple of days.

There’s a difference between a TO and abusing TO you jord are abusin TOs. I honestly could care less. Banned for swearing in the street! Then why are the street?

Re: Can mods stop banning people for no valid reason?

Maybe if the mods ban people who are swearing and disrupting the community, there won't be as many people who do that. Some of the people playing OHOL are little kids, there's no need for them to be exposed to people yelling at each other. OHOL's discord and forum should be a nice environment for people to relax.
It's ok to have an opinion but you don't need to yell about it.

Just because it's a pet peeve of mine:

"I honestly could care less" = You could potentially care less about [subject] if you so desired
"I honestly couldn't care less" = I already have no care or concern about [subject] and therefore am unable to care less than I do.

Think of it this way:
I have no f***s to give = I couldn't care less.
I still have f***s to gives = I could care less

If you've got time to lean, you've got time to clean (the village, that is)!

Re: Can mods stop banning people for no valid reason?

I want to see a reformed "toxic" become the user "non-toxic", who is 1: vegan, 2: feminist, 3: donates money to cancer research.

Do you accept the challenge?

I’m already vegetarian not vegan tho. But I still don’t eat fish, meat or egg. Mostly veggies and I can drink milk.

Re: Can mods stop banning people for no valid reason?

you know.... I just realized how ironic this is we are bulling toxic for being a greifer, isn't that what highlights someone being toxic, attacking someone for their believes?

"hear how the wind begins to whisper, but now it screams at me" said ashe
"I remember it from a Life I never Lived" said Peaches
"Now Chad don't invest in Asian markets" said Chad's Mom
Herry the man who cheated death

Nothing ironic about treating someone how they treat others. Thats how it works

Yes, maybe without a platform to brag about his "superior combat skills", he would grief less

He'd probably grief the same amount.   But we wouldn't have to hear about it.

I'm okay with that.
