Well the one rare item we have now is a crown. That now does get traded down generation to generation. Imagine having to trade an item that has been passed down throughout your family for generations. You'd probably feel pretty bad man.
When there was the 8 eve town I found a crown in the deep wilderness. I was young and completely naked other than that crown. When I had my first child I ran back to the village where she grew up. For the next 5 minutes she begged me for that crown and finally I just gave it to her.. I just wanted her to quit bugging me.
So I have traded a rare item for something before.. albeit that something was just my peace of mind.

I'm flying high. But the worst is never first, and there's a person that'll set you straight. Cancelling the force within my brain. For flying high. The simulator has been disengaged.

An idea for currency is that everyone is born with 1c and can give that money to other players by typing /Give 1c to Maddy Grove.
and a /check money function.
-The older a town got the more money it would have. Initially 1c may get someone to fetch milkweed for you.
-It allows for game play where (mothers might charge children for raising them, mothers may have to choose how much to give each child. ect)
- It may also aid the town hierarchy, some players would have more money than others and thus can enlist their help for a price.

What happens to the money when someone dies or even gets murdered for it?

Ew, please not a capitalism-based approach. This would ruin the entire gameplay imo; I hope these entire property plannings don't eventually lead into this.

if a small child starts asking me for backpacks, crowns, or any piece of my clothes or from the floor ... I let them die of hunger ...
I can not stand those who demand without showing that they deserve it ...

She was old enough to feed herself, it was more just following me like a puppy.

The money is lost when someone dies without trading it off to the next generation.
Its unlikely people would get murdered for it, as there would be no way of getting the money after the victim had died.
one feature it would allow for is that prices in a barter may drop when some rich townsfolk die without passing on their wealth.
This currency system may work better once property rights come in place and the ability to write numbers.
Because even though money would not take any physical space, You want to be able to sell your goods without having to watch over them making sure they are not stolen.

Heck no! Looting corpses should be a thing. Don't let some miser take all that filthy lucre to the grave. If I can steal his pants, I should be able to get his money too.

I had thought of actual specialisation tech.
As a simple example, imagine every family can build one monument. If you build it in the swamp, it will start a counter, as your family eats more psychodelic mushrooms, they unlock more tech related to it, concentrated psychodelics, medicine and at the very something like curare darts or a pacifier drug that makes the target unable to wield weapons for a select time. Only villages with a monument in the jungle will have access to it, and therefore they might trade it for other nation's special items (there would be one monument per biome, with the effects being mostly "cosmetic") or for regular items like clothes, gold and iron.
Another thing missing is the ability to travel as a group, to transport multiple people.
As I understand it, the current engine doesn't support that, but honestly the current iteration means only men can be traders, because women will basically kill their kids if they work the trade.
