Re: I recorded a stationary timelapse

At 3:57 I am born to you. That one woman grabbed me and started telling me I am a worker drone and that I am unable to speak, and then I see you barking out workorders and think that I want to gtfo this society. At 4:40 my laptop crashes, leaving me afk. At 4:45 the idiot moves my afk body in front of the forge, and then eventually I am moved to the sheep pen where I die. Interesting life.

Nice timelapse by the way! Its kind of crazy to see everyone running around like that. The big takeaway here is that the village doesn't change much at all in your 60 minutes of life, which seems to lend credence to the idea that established villages are stagnant places. Someone should have been making clothes though. tongue

Re: I recorded a stationary timelapse

I was there after this.

Someone expanded the pen pretty well, but then it was filled with dogs. The needle and threads suddenly disappeared when the pitbulls started attacking.

Re: I recorded a stationary timelapse

I remember living in this town!  It was before that rail line was added.  I used to process a lot of rabbits that I caught to the right of that fenced area in the lower right.  Back then the place was drowning in extra clothing gear, much of the lower room was covered with it.

Re: I recorded a stationary timelapse

A very interesting perspective. Still, I'm glad you worthshipped me so hard in this video.

A feel like we should get timelapses as an actual feature. Like a zoomed out view of an Eves homemarker that shows how the town changes over time. When the family dies out, You could then watch it.

Oh yeah I was there earlier in the day. Sad to see the corral hadn't gotten finished yet. I like the Warning: Bear West Warning: Bear Northwest stuff. It's actually pretty useful to have an eye in the sky.

Re: I recorded a stationary timelapse

I was there 32 hours ago.  So many non doers in that video! That would drive me crazy.. However, I think it's probably like that a lot of times and I just don't really notice because I'm busy doing so much. The village still pretty much looks the same.

I was Dari.  The family tree on that one is all wonky!

Ooooh, i was there when this happened.  Got killed by a pit bull while i was looking for a needle to fix up the med station.

Well, I died young enough that I came back quickly enough to see some of the same people.

Unfortunately the family was soon done in by a very persistent greifer.  She made all the carrot and corn disappear, killed all the sheep, and almost had destroyed all the wheat.  After I killed her, we only had one fertile female left, and one bowl of wheat, and were resorting to carting in soil.  The next gen didn't make it, sadly.

I'm wondering if it was the same griefer who raised the pitbulls... just starved before reaching thirty and came back, just as I did.

Re: I recorded a stationary timelapse

OMG, I had an interaction yesterday I felt guilty about, and you caught it on the time lapse! I'm the one who accused the kid of stealing, and I can see from this video he was in fact delivering pies around camp (Though, unnecessary use of the horse cart)

I'm usually really peaceful and not accusatory, but would have probably stabbed him if I had a knife, I didn't believe him at all but decided if no one cared to not mess around. Then realized later he was probably telling the truth. Putting 12 pies in a horsecart and then reloading them as i was putting them back seemed so sketchy. Ironically, i think food delivery is an underrated job.

I had only looked at this briefly, then realize I was one of the moms when the woman said to have abortions.

I think in this life i got killed by a boar at 42 and barely made it back to camp, but I didn't see that happen happen to notice this.

This is the Cannon family right?

Thanks for doing this, i don't know how I didn't notice/remember when we were playing. This was actually quite useful to see, in terms of understanding how these cities function.

I'll tell you what I tell all my children: Make basket, always carry food.

Listen to your mom!

Re: I recorded a stationary timelapse

I was in that same town a few generations before the family died out. I finished the pump and started getting oil(ended up getting 3 kerosene cans), but in the mean time someone was breeding mean pit bulls just outside of town that ended up killing a few townspeople. Don't know how exactly they ended up dying out, but there were not a lot of people focusing on compost when I died of old age, so I presume a famine got them.

P.S. I was in the same town at a later time, since I noticed in the timelapse that the oil pump was left unfinished.

It totally is. And I've been accused of greifing when I was just bringing the pies out on a few occasions. But, when you put that food out, especially around the berries (sliced bread is even better since it is less wasteful when kids eat it) you see the difference right away. The bakery has less traffic and fewer lingering people. There is less of the berry munching sound. Everything is more peaceful.
