Was in an eve village that started making a farm kiln etc with no water in sight! Once I had hair I grabbed a basket and ran lol

The countless eve camps I've spawned to in the middle of green with no water or warmth in sight, prior to the temp update.
More recently, I was a gen 4 female of an eve camp that settled around ONE pond and had maybe 3 berry bushes grown. Rabbit furs everywhere, wild milkweed everywhere, even had needles, but ig everyone was dumb because they didn't use any of it. I made a backpack and some clothes, grabbed a needle and bowl, and fucked right off.
To my credit, my family lasted a few more gens before dying out. My mother and brother died before I was even half way through my life [they hadn't come with]. My children looted their camp for a few pieces of iron, some bowls and plates, a snare and an extra stone hatchet.

Not as bad as some of these towns, but I've been in a couple villages lately with really badly positioned bakeries or smithies.
My favorite was one where a building was constructed directly below the smithy, but noone had bothered to move the furnaces, so we ended up with two forges which were only accessible from the upper lefthand direction because there was a solid adobe wall beneath them. In the same town, the only "bakery" was an oven made in the side of the adobe sheep pen. This wouldn't be too terrible, except that the berry patch was directly below it, so the entire bakery was only three tiles wide and about ten tiles long. It was a very narrow and uncomfortable space.
I ended up making a new bakery and smithy, then cleaned up the old areas, so people stopped using them.

Was the snake's name Fred? Because, if it was, I've lived in that town.
Fred was perfectly safe as long as you didn't upset him.

There was a crappy one a few days ago... we had barely any food. Farm was dying, half our tools had been hidden, people huddled by the fire as wood and food dwindled. The Newcomen pump had gone dry. Barely any of us survived; luckily the ones of us that did were smart (natural selection lol) and so we turned the town around.

once i catched a snake with a pen, originally it was to prevent snakes and bear getting in, it worked, but then when snake was stuck in corner, i walled it off fast then made him 1x1 pen, the lienage didn't last tho, i guess
worst was 11 gen with not a single kiln, bowl, or anything, we where 100 tile from an ancient city and nobody ever found it before me
they just munching bananas for 10 generations straight!
a bad one was when someone planted 4 nice 3x3 berry bush field, nicely spaced out with a 3x3 line, then noobs used the soil put in between bushes to plant more bushes, so the whoel thing was 3x3 spots brown and they starved before the thing grow out in middle of it
forge in stone toilet near the oven generally very annoying
before update, anything between 2 deserts on a cold spot
or anything outside the cleared jungle on the cold tiles
now you cant make errors with building position (except sand/ice bank in wall or other unremovable stuff )
worst pen i seen was a 3x5 with 3 sulfur inside it (obviously from the "working" ones)

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.
