Jungle outpost idea

so we got jungles, and they are perfect temperature, everywhere average, not just on sides like desert, has food
but the mosquitoes can kill a lot of kids, newbees, sometimes you need a newbie to bring in the next pro player

i don't think starting in middle of jungle is good, the starting point for kiln is still green biome and swamp corner, possibly with some desert

the moment you can move into jungle is when you got: tools to make rooms, ropes, boards, bell bases or fences (or flat rocks for graves), all this is better with carts

so i made a blueprint how i imagine a small self sustainable room in jungle, this can sustain around 3 people easily, more than that requires teamwork

the good temperature and the bananas worth it long time, especially without the risk of getting bitten

bell bases because is cheap - half stone only, portable- you can move later , not that easy to grief- needs shovel, can see through it
fences work as well, or stone wall, or adobe, plastered adobe, but the main point is to make it fast a small room, and enclose it
pen tpe entrance: pens keep animals out  not just in, mosquitoes are animals, they move straight, cant change direction, can skip trough 4 items but not 5, cant fly over walls
why not a door? in open state animals can skip over a door, also people need to remember closing it, and opening might be kinda annoying, even babies can open doors, you can still have a door with a front entrance for the looks, just put 3 more items and a bush in front so it functions as entrance even when door is open, no animal gets in or out
doors tend to be locked and the key lost

why cistern? probably you wont have a pond in jungle, even if you do, will be empty after a while, cisterns can store a fair amount of water, you can gather water from wells and ponds
why carrot room? its not ideal as food, and you need some for compost, you can lock yourself in for last few  minutes to wait seed
why box? hand over items trough walls
wheat field can be put outside of this, anywhere as it consumes the soil, and leaves the wheat behind which blocks the lil suckers, and can be made into pie/bread/burrito

the four boxes and the oven can be used to cook the raw mutton
if you want pies too, then an oven room can be made under it
the bush and the extra tile near pen is a shuriken entrance, but can be used as prison or inside block, so the sheperd can bring in a dung, and go back and lock the pen from outside

reusing walls is better than having multiple separated structures, but i can imagine 4 rooms like this with berries only and the pen is separated

ofc can be done step by step, i guess pen is first as generally you dont have one, than a room for berries
boards are optional and kind of self explanatory that you don't fill a room with bushes cause then you got to run in and out to water and soil, but the noobs always surprise you with stupidity out of boredom

cheaper than this?
use graves, but then risk the mosquitoes, make uncle signs later (wont be expandable)
let the sheep roam free- bit annoying but works, make a tiny carrot seed pen(2 tiles and maybe a free tile, a box and 4 baskets)

if i would have all the tools and resources nearby possibly i could do on my own without the boxes, but if you want to chill with family needs 2 pro players to make it under 30ish minutes, maintaining would be harder without banana gatherers and expanding family

Nar, it doesn't take long to build a building, Peins 4x4 adobe wall sheep pen can be built and plastered within a life. and looks so much better then ugly adobe oven pens.

Plus if i understand correctly, this is an outpost design, if you have time and food to build an outpost you have the time to make it look nice.

Stone walls are double the cost and give heat. In this situation using walls is moot since it would put you over the perfect temp of the jungle.

double the cost matters actually, you can have a room for oven with  the blocks you got, so you can make pies in a bigger space, you can have a room for composting and just hand soil over wall, a milkweed room so you just give buckets or carts over, not let milkweed for the public who may waste it on clothes
until 40 i can make a size like this and get sheep and get it going,  obviously the other materials can be good
but function over form, i would even say graves are better for it cause you can store stuff in walls, so mainly this is temporary, once you got it going expanding is easier, and the ultimate room, is made of boxes

Tested, insulating walls have only a small affect on your temp in the jungle.

well to be honest, you still rely on bananas, and you can include banana tree inside a wall, saving on walls and on space, and this is why box walls would be best, you just fill 3 boxes with 2 upgraded carts, similarly graves can hold a bowl or the shears/knitting needle/spindle
and you need to bring water, butt logs and firewood inside, so having fast roads to banana trees, and stakes on them for example to prevent mosquitoes catching you running fast, and a board floor under trees to place a basket

this life i born into jungle city, had pies and two berry farms near jungle, and fast road to water
and people be like, oh we plant on green, not on jungle, cause need to run 5 tile less, my mom was a sponge, she ate 5 berries after feeding me once
we had toolheads but no tools, cause nobody got shafts, snaring uncle died possibly to some mosquito bite and i found his hat and pack
i choose the middle of the flat jungle space, and made a cistern in 3 runs
i asked a lil kid who was gathering banana to make me boards and a guy to get soil near cistern
the guy still fixed the dumb berry farm
with the stakes i outlined the plan, and after it got going, i went out and got myself a turkey, a few feathers, a  sealskin, bow and arrow in the green biome bit further
and went back with a shot goose, we made file and saw then bucket, stanchion kit, just in time as the only well had 10 water left

she was still working on boards and in meantime everyone was sitting near the garden, as it had banana closeby, and i planted the first bushes, and the boards were almost finished, the stakes as placeholders

other lady made an adobe base pen, and i went with my third and last rope to get a sheep, but someone found my arrow and took it, most probably the lil girl who i gave a turkey hat, cause she shot someone, possibly with the bow left near the muflon, i had to go further to make new arrow, and seen a giant swamp with nice desert spots and water near them, but the jungle location is still nice
the sheepfood was made with wild berries and wild carrot, and i planted 4 more wheat and 2 carrot, but died before they grew

so esentially it was just a tiny garden with a pen closeby, still the best sight of the camp, and pro players can make it viable

few things i noted:
with the bush stakers, you can make the whole blueprint from stakes
need more bushes, at least a plus sign around the cistern and then bushes around it for easy soil and water distribution
people gonna be around it very soon, so you need the walls asap to prevent sponges to enter
maybe a nice treeline, or a mosquito door you can defend yourself (1x1 trapped mosquito)

you can make an inward entrance, then if mosquito goes inside, finish the last tile , once you finish this, anyone who enters first gets bit and you can choose to save or not, so sponges wont run in and out all the time
