Haven't played in 2 months, what do i need to know?

I rarely play computer games in the summer. I think the last update i've seen was when food fatigue was added.

But, the weather is changing already and i'm ready to get back at it.

I know the milkweed changed and is always permanently gone, but how are things going socially and what are the most important changes?

I see the number of players looks like it rebounded a bit.

soil changed, now bring in pack and basket, and pick out a bowl, you can till 2 for less hoe usage or 1 if you got enough iron
general skill is bit higher so smithing and composting is basic job
still a lot of noobs so managing cities is hard
more griefers and more skilled, so learn to fight
cow milk best food source, but bread is also good addition
berry farms still needed to help newbees but try to build roads around it 3x3 spots
if you know how temperature works, try to farm on desert, if not check the guides, a baby can be raised with 3 feedings
food variety is higher so try max your yum if doesnt require much time to do so

dont play rn theres a big ol murder bug. check in next month lol.

there were cows added and lots of food stuff too. i dont think the basic mechanics have changed that much. just the curse system implementation

Ok i think I've played enough since at least the big food changes. I've played since the soil changes but not enough to consistently remember to use a bowl lol

And I tend to do low tech stuff anyway so i'm probably fine. I kind of play as a refugee from the griefing epidemic much of the time. (I'm also obsessed with the idea that family lines shouldn't be dying out at all because women should be colonizing new areas periodically and creating multiple population centers.)
