Its not a Bitcoin miner. Its instance of Santan bot using your account key to grief people on different server while you have game open.

Updated download links. The same download link should now always give you the latest version or inform you that latest is unavailable. Also removed evergrowing list of older versions and moved it away from this thread to my webpage.

Downloads now also collect some information for statistical purposes. Lets see how many download are there really after an update!

Bunch of fun facts about zoomed out FOVmod:
- without any official client updates for 3 weeks now, there has been 85 FOVmod downloads in past 4 days by 64 unique users.
- some people seem to download more than one, if not all possible versions of zoomed out FOV mod with around 5 to 20 minutes in between downloads
- 8 of those 85 downloads were of a bit older version (bv123 instead of bv126) while 2 were WAY older (v92 and v94)

In next weeks I'll be creating automated scripts to generate statistics about time of day and/or dates at which most downloads occur, which version is most used, etc. Feel free to feed me your ideas if you have any!

P.S. Can't wait for Bison update to see statistics right after update!

For the first time ever after the game updated the old zoom mod still worked/was retained. I haven't installed today's v126v127 mod.
Why wasn't the old mod overwritten with the update, and why is it still working?

It looks like Jasons didn't change anything in the game code, that's why binary version didn't change and its still 126. This means OneLife.exe should work the same and didn't get replacement along with update.
What really changed are game assets (graphics, sounds, files describing transitions) - thats why data version changed from 124 to 127. Those files are independent from OneLife.exe.

I've released update "just in case" there were hidden changes in the binary, but does not seem like it.

This also brings up the point that if in the future we will get more pure "content updates" without any new "mechanics" - FOVmod updates might not be required.

they work, if they dont work for you, you need to uncheck customserver...

if you try to join to a specific server it just says "version dont match"
so you join with customserver unchecked and it will update the game

Game loads and plays but isn't zoomed out since updating a few minutes ago, I tried to reinstall the mod but it's the same issue. I've been using this for a while now but this is the first time I had trouble.

In the past 20 hours zoomed out FOVmod client has been downloaded 120 times by 85 unique users. Thats over 4 times more often after an update than on a normal day. Thank you guys
