Use fleece not thread
So i been making pens in 90% of towns ive been and shears
people still use thread to make clothes
if you got shears, saw, flint tipped bow drill(wheel plus short shaft=spindle) and sheep, never use thread
make ropes out of thread
rare exception when you need 3 arrows to kill a bear, but then you can just feed it mutton meat and wont chase people, gonna stop after a while

Drill a hole into a disk so carts and spindle sadly can't drill baby skulls
