Branch Families

I can't help but wonder if some of the older generation families in this game end up splitting into branch families over time, ie. two families with the same lineage but that share a different camp.

For instance, I have been born into the sol family (http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … l_id=93832) twice, but each time it was at a different well developed camp. Is this common?

Re: Branch Families

Yeah, Happens more then you think especially with advanced cities. People sometimes decide to take supplies from a city and go off to found there own place. Think of it as playing an Eve with a slight head start.

Or it may just be a different Eve with the same name.

I was your brother Zach, I don't know if we talked much but I was there. I was responsible for a good portion of the pies, I baked a decent amount of pie during my best years. I don't remember exactly who the rabbit hunter was but he brought in cartloads of rabbits, I think it may have been sruthi the other brother.

I like how the Sol family is always a consistently good town, I've spent many lives in various sol families and all them were successful towns.

your sign still exists over the farm. I was just there, but died due to disconnect....
But the town still lives smile

Re: Branch Families

Sols are common because either I spend 10-30 mins as a fresh Eve, hunting for a location to start a home that I know will stand the test of time, or, the game gives me the chance to be an Eve in a town I am familiar with. Either way I keep all my kids so the players who get to be male can scout, gather and do the crafting they love while the women do what the same, as best they can, while also caring for their kids.

It's vital that the branches of the family tree be thick and strong to hold future leaves, and that means children having an array of siblings to support and compliment each other's activities.
