I was Lyra

I was Lyra yesterday.  When my mother Gemini was dying, I took my two youngest babies, Jodie and Toby, out to the edge of town, where she went to die, to say goodbye to her.  She was a great mother.  We were all standing around her saying goodbye, and after she died, I realized that I was starving, and it was a long walk back to town to get food.  I died with a carrot in my hand at age 29.  My last words were "You were great!", which is the last thing I said to my mother before she died.  But my baby Jodie lived to age 47 and had four babies of her own along the way.  I never lived to see any of my grandkids, though.  Jodie was murdered by her third cousin, Leia.  Jodie's big sister, and my older daughter, Suzy, avenged her death.

Re: I was Lyra

Looks like Leia killed a few more people and unfortunately her last words "Your civ is dead thoug" was correct.  Guess you got griefed in your own game.

Typical noob. Thats why you don't waste time on typing and all this sentimental crap. Become model worker and leader in production, for Mother Russia!

Re: I was Lyra

Well, I didn't get griefed.  Leia was just a baby when I died.

Re: I was Lyra

Sounds like a poignant farewell, and a good life lived.

People are so passionate about the means to an end...  I've played several games where being more open to random happenstance is actually more relaxing and rewarding.

What do you leave behind when you die

-vs-

what memorable experiences you take with you on the journey to the next life.

Re: I was Lyra

Its so nice that Jason gave his mom such a great goodbye. You work your whole life and
right before you die you might be someone that hopes the village cared and appreciated all you did.

I don't like living in a place where everyone works and is silent most the time. Seems like a work camp.

-----

I like being sentimental in this game.

I am a hard worker but I also speak nicely to my family. I type fast so it's not too hard to
pause and say something sweet to them or make sure they know what they are supposed to be doing.

If my mom or an elder ever told to stay by the fire or desert tile with the kids and not work at all then
I usually tell the kids a story, recite a poem or sing a lullaby. I may tell them how much potential they
have or that they should try to contribute something useful and positive to the village.

Laugh at that if you want. smile
I don't think it's dumb or a noob move. Its the only game I do it. And I will not stop.

~luv ya fam! <3

Please be kind.

I was Arron, the co-sheep pen builder.  Jason's daughter, Suzy and I worked on it together.  She came up to me as a kid and asked if she could help.  I was working on a berry farm when Leia stabbed me.  It was cold blooded but by that point i had mostly completed my life's work.  I'm glad Suzy made it to old age, she was great.
