I believe our town did. (Yippee!) As the war was apparently over after the patch occurred and the city to the East had been completely deserted.

I was in the Southwest clan earlier today and.... from what I heard, my brother slaughtered them all. No women or children left in the Northeast. He brought back carts of pies, clothing, stolen tools. He even got naked before going back for another cart because “there’s so much shit to steal!” We were still doing pretty well when I died but one of our young girls said she was going north to repopulate the town. Hopefully she starved before reaching it lol
Long live the South!

I ended up making it back to Ducks and repopulated the place. I tried to make peace multiple times over that life with you southern folk but not once would you stop sending people up with weapons. At some point the southwest city became deserted in between the time I got off for a bit and Ducks got into a war with the eastern city.

After the patch Eve Morgan revitalized Ducks. The southwestern city was either culled during the patch or I was unable to remember exactly where it was. The city to the east was eventually settled by Aura Morgan who in turn raised the city back to a livable state. It was kind of nice to be able to live in the city without fearing people would come and start raiding the cities again.

Tarr, were you Beth? I remember a blonde woman coming to the southwest village and telling people to stop griefing, but my nephew, the king in a past life(who saved my life and hand fed me berries until I was old enough), claimed that he was murdered by your people before respawning to us. The northeast wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows either. Both had shed blood.
In my first life, when I met Beth, I was a woman. Nameless because my mother didn’t love me. My nephew pointed out that every time Beth showed up, our people left to go north and tools disappeared with them. When I was just a child, a man with a bow was running around our camp. I assume it was one of your people. I hid in the forest for years, scavenging food until I was blessed with daughters. When I came back, he was no longer there. We feared they would come back to kill us all so I helped my nephew craft a knife. It was us or them.
We ran north together but he got lost and gave me the knife before he starved in front of me. His dying wish was that I kill Beth. I had never senselessly killed before, but I couldn’t let my nephew, the former king, die in vain. I found the northeast camp and chased Beth but couldn’t get her so I stabbed another man before I starved to death in my old age. Was called a cunt (lol) and then I think Beth stabbed me. An eye for an eye.
The south remembers.

Yes I was indeed Beth. When I was first born the king and one of his men talked about heading north to kill any of the villagers that were left up in Ducks. I worked on my hands and knees with the help of my children to fix the town I called home. I told the king to leave our little village but the man didn't heed my warning. I remembered what the king and my mother spoke about as a child. Killing the men, taking the women. I would have none of that for my children. As soon as the opportunity presented itself I murdered the tyrant. Once he was dead the children, me, and the lone survivor of the attacks celebrated. I came back to the south in an attempt at peace. The violence between the two towns had lasted over one hundred years at this point.
All I wanted from you people were to stop sending men with weapons to my village. I asked you if we could have put this behind us but as I spoke a child rang out from the crowd. "I was the king." A young brown haired boy chanted. I would explain the reason I had to kill him but feeling the mood starting to sour I returned home to continue helping out around town. Once I had started to gray I noticed my aunt running around the village. I knew you weren't here on any sort of good will mission as I seen the knife you pulled from your backpack. I slipped away but as I did I heard that oh so familiar sound of a scream. You stabbed my nameless cousin who had brought refugees to my village. I couldn't let you get away with that and returned stab for stab. Once you were dead I explained to my children I was going to make one last vain attempt at peace and headed off.
As I made my journey back to the south I seemingly fell prey to a dreaded tree rattlesnake before even getting another word in to the south.

War -> take the place, kill all opposition, keep some baby girls and a hostage. Make the place yours.
Raids -> stealing food and stuff.
It is cool to raid or war people, but making relations between village can help them both to extend quickly. Except when you starve, it is always better to be social. Alive villages keep making food, clothes and baby girls, a place to flee if you killed somebody in your village, you can rule both of the city if you have an horse and a crown.
All i'm saying is if you need to KILL somebody and drink blood, find reasons to do it. Killing people because they are prey is fun, but there is more fun, it is up to you to create it.
For exemple, I made my mom a crown and my brother a crypth for all of our family, not the others. This crypth became super important to everyone, it was really.

was the one who called it Duck after a guy messed up the sign, then became ducks as that was the only normal word you could make out of the letters, someone took a "w"? into top left green biome, next level griefing xD
was born there 3 times i guess, i posted in state of gameplay
from what i remember, pen was on top but the door made them release sheep over and over, south pen was made later, but griefed several times
one life i made the inner fences but left the holes there, which was griefed again, and again
there was only enough fence for half so i made the rest out of sheep bones, other life
i placed one adobe on top right as was incomplete, now thats gone too
wells went dry, random holes and trees chopped, all roads near farm taken
all wells dry
just been there as one of first kids, i was King with no surname. My mom wear the blue clothes then a girl my age, my wife. I think two eves were there?
Mom fixed the pen, exept the corners, so now temporary sheep bones hold them inside, as not much straight branches
we used up the shears like 75%, and there was one spindle, but i made new knitting needles, didnt see we had two
Told them to move farm up as there was no water in any of right side wells, some made well walls, only one guy made a fire to make some tools, but nobody kept it alive
Later made 3 blades, one for sheer one for knife, i took 3 carts of firewood, instantly a baby was placed in fire, lucky i placed to the right side so they didnt disturb
also nobody hunted, old lady later, so i had the only fresh backpack, and took back snares, so thats how somebody went out
also nobody farmed, so everybody starved at points, even if desert is so full of cactus on ground i could easily take a cart of 12 home
when fire went out, cause ofc nobody gets firewood, lady just fucked up one of my small fires i made to dye my clothes so with 2 minutes remaining people stole my dye ready clothes, and everybody went smurf, i didnt mind but not nice to do
they tossing blue hats on kids but they dont feed them, so funny, blue corpses all around people looting them then starve and circle goes on
a lady made a milkweed farm as it was picked incorrectly, so only the seeds were left there
berries regrow sometimes, randomly, i took as many as i could into bowls before the locusts ate it
ofc nobody waters
so with a population of 30, we had like 5-6 useful people, and like 150 during my lifetime
moms don put markers so we had to each of us, ofc not enough saplings
in the end we had some progress, whoever got my shet, has a brand new sheer tool, a knife, a new backpack, full blue clothes, loin cloth, everyone else had the genitals out and no backpack
the biggest resource is a pen of 9x9 full of shit, good luck cleaning it out xD killed like 15 sheeps and made some pies, cause they set it up but no kindling made ofc, once i burn it up they somehow realized there is pie, signs and boxes all around too bad cant be moved, its barren empty with dry well walls and a bit of farm to right, the stolen roads are kinda bad

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.

I believe Aura was my aunt and the queen who had my mum killed. Small world.

Ah! Thank you for the soil, very helpful for generations to come

Ducks is alive again!
Eved there and was amazed at a fully-developed, abandoned town. Only had two plots of soil surrounded by carrot seeds, but it had wheat, sheep, berrys, plenty of full wells, a forge stocked with tools, and a bakery with three cooked mutton pies. Raised a daughter while making compost and rebuilding the farm. She had several kids and was making more pies when I tried to kill a sheep and hit an infant running around instead.
Starved before debuff wore off. I hope my daughter figures out how to keep sheep in the pen soon.
