Shields

If we got knifes and bows to kill you, we should have shields to protect you

wooden shields, stops 1 attack, breaks, becomes wooden shield with arrow, or wooden shield with knife

to make you would need two curved branches, carve it, put on each other and use 2 threads, one rope and pine needles, this would cost kinda same as bow and arrow

advanced shield, same curved branches, but now with wrough iron , or even steel

so if they try to kill you they lose the knife or the arrow
then you can retaliate
or two people need to kill you

im tired of everytime a nude idiot kills me for my gear, has no skill no brain, and makes the camp die, but kills you cause its funny for him that you dont even know its gonna kill you

if there is an offensive option, should be a defensive one, or just dont allow killing people, its too easy and shitty mechanic

or restrict access by maker

90% of time bows are used not by the maker and not for intended purpose

All those things would help murderers as much as town guards.

But i still think the best solution to this problem is to add the option to get healed from other people.
So if you get injured you can run to someone and he/she uses an item on you to heal you.
This would make it much harder for a solo killer.

Meh.. being able to defend from attackers isn't dumb. This isn't fucking Quake after all.. we should
be able to defend ourselves or at least let the battle be an interesting one. Not a they click you die..
That is just a retarded mechanic no matter what retard tier justification you can come up with
regarding hitpoints..

Interplayer conflict/combat IS interesting and can lead to good game play but there is no reason
that it should favor the attacker as much as it does currently. A real problem is even if you defeat
the killer they are reborn as your daughter.. and THEY are the only one who knows the score..

Is this a good way to set up conflict? It seems OFTLY one sided to me.

just born there again, my sister went mad i picked out one carrot row, when we had 4 and they wre raising babies
havent seen the brown chick who killed me last game, probably starved by doing it

my sister told mom to kill me, and she tried it, with no question

so i ran back to my camp from alst game, cactus base, made bow arrow and shot my sister first
one nepfew teamed up with me and we killed everyone else, nepfews, my mom
a blonde girl was somewhere at start of game, probably starved, was nice city but this assholes dont deserve it, killing kids for no good reason, my mom even used my backpack from previous game as it went to rag after we reached older age
they did nothing good with my cart of iron i left for them
i  felt bad for the place not for this persons, original plan was having my niece alive, we never found her

killed three, my nepfew some more, one bear, one wolf, he died to a wolf
its easy to kill persons who alert you, its hard to defend from cowards who dont even try to talk with you
i might be wrong, sometimes, but everything can be talked

by jasons logic we shouldnt even have weapons then
all the same, you kill someone for a reason or no reason at all, someone kills you cause you killed a murderer, then others kill each other cause they seen two murders, you kill  for revenge and circle never stops, and you cannot stop to talk with a person with a bow

hp and healing would be nice, but shields would give you a chance
do you trust others? no
then make a shield to defend one attack, so you can retaliate or run away
for every action should be a counter action, this is a system, even if its so primitive like now

i dont know why people start killing for beiing abandoned as a kid, they got no food to raise you, i understand
a pretty good chance that the murdered victim gonan be the next kid in your city

I think the current system creates mistrust and hate in the community.
If you see someone with a weapon you have to either kill him first, or completely trust him.
A shield would give you another option, i like it.
If he kills you, it feels unfair. Every noob can pick up a knife and if you get stabbed its over for you.

Now if healing trough other people would be implemented, other people could save your life.
This creates positivity. You dont want to hurt the person who just saved your life.
Right now we have the option to kill but not to heal.
So if you want to do something bad you can, but if you want to do something good you cant.
The game encourages evil/bad behaviour. In order to protect yourself you need to kill.

Personally I dont find it grwat enough I see well the griefer kills somebody, comes back with shield, try to keep fucking up things. And if the griefer has the kmife and you the shield, he would just follow you until you drop your shield.

Best way to stop killer is the knife, best way to stop a griefer is the knife too.

shield would stop an attack and give the arrow to him as its inside the shield, you drop, pick up the arrow and run
you get a chance to retaliate or just run away

a griefer with shield could be killed with two shots or two weapons same time, but wouldnt mess with people with shields

could be only a weapon or a shield used, then would be balanced enough, other thing i would liek to see is a player list in my family tree, or everyen in area, and updated with clothes, when anyone dies, i would get notified
easyer to see if we got no females or somebody kills, or somebody got lost

you also wouldnt need to drop shield, could be offhand, or just a hidden armor plate, you could cover with a  fur, that would be best, then murderers would fail even more

Healing  sounds like a great idea. When hurt you still have some time before death, that time could be window of opportunity to give some kind of medicine and save person. Medicine would need new type of plant(herb) that regrows every hour (like milkweed, anti grief measure). Bowl+Part of medicine plant+water, used on hot coals = Healing medicine.

You cant use medicine on yourself, only by other person on dieing person. This wouldn't eliminate griefing or murders, but have a positive impact on player base. It would give a Chance! and hopefully some great moments in game.

Thank you, healing is not my idea, i read somewhere on the forum and i think this mechanic can do alot more than people might expect.
